I remain optimistic about this game. I wasn't going to buy it straight away because of it being wedged between Horizon and Elden Ring but I will absolutely give the trial a shot next week and she if it lives up to my hopes

Theres only 5 maps and they are each tied to a particular game mode. Meaning Team Deathmatch is only available on one map, Spectre game node is only available on one map, Search and Destroy is only available on one map, etc.
Theres an ability in game to earn points that you can spend to become a "reaper". This character carries dual weapons with a huge shot spread, has insanely high health that regenerates very quickly. This can make him near invincible at times l...
I'm somewhat torn in that regards myself though.
While I somewhat share your less than optimistic views on where this all is leading, I also think AAA gaming is at its all time worst. Oversaturation of the same IPs and an ever growing lack of imagination in most big budget titles is killing AAA gaming anyway. I'm not entirely convinced big budget should be saved.
And that's absolutely understandable, I wouldnt ever question it.
I just don't appreciate Sony making that decision for people.

I'll be adding to those numbers myself in a while. The release date was a tough sell being so close to Horizon and Elden Ring. I prioritised both those but I really look forward to getting Sifu soon myself

Nothing decent about it. Quite possibly the worst game I've played in years.
It's shocking how bad a state its in and they knew that before release. No gaming website was given access to the game before launch. With next to none of them reporting on the shambles of a condition this was released in.
Simple things like aiming down weapon sights don't work without problems but there's PLENTY to spend your money on in microtransactions.

I generally don't like supporting censorship. It should be up to the individual if they want to see something or not, within reason I guess. Don't put it on daytime TV for instance

I loved Dirt 5. Got the plat and all the DLC trophies.
I much prefer that neon upbeat style arcade racer to sims myself.
Loved Dirt 5, Driveclub, Forza Horizon, Motorstorm and Grid.
Wasn't much in to GT Sport, Project Cars or Forza Motorsport.
