It was Xtra-Vision guys. I'm Irish so it will be an unknown retailer to the vast majority of you. Like I say the heat was on my business but I had seen the paper work. I was friends with the man in charge of the company's game department. It was a clause enforced by MS at the time.
Good! There's not much in the gaming world that is more bullshit than platform exclusive content.
I dont think this really counts as an exclusive though does it? Playstation have been fairly firm on early access games coming to the store and the developer has expressed interest in bring this to the PS5.
Microsoft are just as scummy let me tell you.
I remember the launch of the Xbox One. I was the manager of a game store back then. When the Xbox One was launching Microsoft made a last minute consignment deal for the consoles. The stipulation was we had to convert so many playstation sales in a target number over to Xbox and when the console was sold a game purchase was mandatory or they couldn't have the console.
I could see this was going to go down like a ...
The harsh reality of this is that Palworld would have been nothing if GameFreak and Nintendo were living up to the potential of the Pokemon property.
All I can really see here is the laziness and incompetence of the pokemon developers at play.
I've a similar take on Hellblade as Tacoboto. I played the first one with headphones and it blew me away. I was fully enamoured by it. I raved about it for years.
I'd actually argue a 7 hour game is not good value at $50. That's a big ask for a short burst. Hellblade one cost nowhere near that when it released at $30.
I'd be a lot more excited about it if Bloober weren't making it.
Journey was great too. And while I expect Hellblade 2 will be also... I didnt wait years in anticipation for Journey or expect it to build up on a previous entry. So yeah the HB2 length is a bit underwhelming
Ninja Theory themselves said so in the Developer Direct. So dissapointing to hear too
I skipped Alan Wake 2 and Baldurs Gate 3 because there was no physical release.
Baldurs Gate 3 is coming now! So hopefully it's a matter of time.
As for Hellblade 2 I'm not sure the length of the game warrants an expensive print unfortunately. In terms of value there it might actually be gamepass. Shame they went for such a short play.
That doesn't really support the message that not buying it is supposed to send in the first place though.
How very "Take 2" of Take 2 🙄
I'll admit I'm interested in a lot of what's there but I'm also annoyed with most of them being announced upwards of 2 years ago and vanished since. It was a joke announcing so many of these so early.
Oh well Hellblade is my most anticipated of the list and at least that's looking like it'll be within the year
I'd prefer tips on actually getting one of the damned things right now
Yeah me too. Pacific Drive also has my hype for some reason
I dont recall Chants of Sennaar. I'll look that up. Cocoon is on my list and funnily enough Viewfinder was the one I'm most looking forward to.
What would be your Nominations for it this year? Looking for inspiration
Mantic games have potential, though. They made great games out of the Hellboy and Mars Attacks licence.
Looks like they've made a fun game out of Worms, too, but it is yet to be fulfilled.
I'm interested in this and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do
Player A bought the game and so did Player B.
However Player B doesn't get the same content as Player A because the stupid plastic box he bought it for is different to Player A's. Even though he paid the same price.
Bullshit! If people are paying for it, they should all be getting the same thing
