Most modern HD remakes are worth at most 20 for a single game, 60 for an entire series, to me.
This, however, is something different. Square could make something well worth a full priced game if done correctly. Essentially, making a new game and just reusing the story and including a simple improved version of the old game as well would make me happy.

SOCOM is a huge opportunity given the state of online 3rd person shooters at the moment. Titans from 3rd parties are falling left and right. Hopefully Sony puts the muscle (dollars) behind it and reboots it well.
I'm sure what he said is technically true, sure they'll release some more games on it but I get the feeling Wii U is done and Nintendo is saying this to keep sales up for the holiday season.

The most I important thing is that having the best voice actor for the character. You don't need to match the race/nationality of the real life actor to the in game character.
Naughty Dog is one of the few companies that include non-stereotypical black people in their games. Most use big angry tank/heavy weapons dude.
MGS 5 was lacking in the many ways, and Sutherland and Snake were bore-fests. However, saying Konami is justified is ridiculous.
I agree that 3rd party exclusives are complete bs, but both companies are guilty. It's a terrible trend that's a lose lose for all gamers. I have PS4, not an xone, but will probably get the game on PC. So I'm not benefiting in any way from Xbox exclusivity.
My point was that the people can play the game, actually have a good game to play. The more good games the better.
I do hope the weak sales are a lesson to 3rd parties though.
MGS is my favourite series of all time, but Witcher 3 was a much better game.

The most important thing is that Xbox owners that like tomb raider are pleased with the game. Even if so many aren't buying it.

PS4s 1080p/30FPS(ish) is also with mostly mid to mid-high settings.
The same game on PS3 is sub 720p/20-25FPS and low settings, if the setting is even on at all.
Compare BF3 on PS3 to Battlefront on PS4 and the game will look 10 times better, although I doubt PS4 is 10 times more powerful. Couldn't even render GTA5 at 60 FPS
I normally pick up AC games when they're in the bargain bin because I feel they're the quintessential 7/10 game but I must admit, Black Flag and Syndicate are very good and among the better open world games in every regard (story, graphics, gameplay, etc.)
I have both ps4 and Xbox one controllers, while DS4s build quality is worse, it is a better designed controller. Xone has very mushy buttons with low travel (x is the worst offender) and worse triggers. Of course, imo.
Personally, Witcher 3 hands down. MGS isn't even close. In fact, despite the gameplay improvements, MGS 5 is is one of the worst main entries in the series. Not enough story as its too much like Peace Walker. I wish Kojima didn't listen to the vocal minority complaining about cutscenes. Long term fans of the series have loved the game because it was story-centric.

If people think 4 frames makes a significant difference in a game, their eyes would melt seeing 1080p 60 FPS with most effects high or ultra. It's like playing ps3 vs ps4.
PC gaming is more expensive. But spending $300 every 3 or 4 years isn't that bad considering consoles are about $300 every 5 years.

The fact that neither of these console are sustaining 30fps in so many games is disappointing. It's likely just a matter of tweaking too. My ps4 Witcher 3 performance increased substantially post release. Hopefully next year devs have a better understanding of the hardware.
If the original tomb raider games released today with cutting edge graphics they'd still be bad games with horrible controls and unintuitive level design.
Sure the new TR games could be more challenging puzzle wise but that's the only inferior aspect imo.
