I guess Blockbuster can try to survive by carving out a niche that's not already dominated by Netflix...but seeing as how Gamefly already has a pretty firm hold on the market, I'm really not sure what kind of appealing alternative Blockbuster can offer.
Plus, weren't they supposedly going out of business any day now?
Holy crap! That's incredible!
Ugh.
Atari...just give Bioware the DnD license back. You're doing absolutely nothing with it.
It's ridiculous how excited I am for this game. It's going to be just like Metroid for SNES....only better. I get chills whenever I think about it.
I have no idea how you stay on top of the news, but you are awesome at it. Good job! Keep up the good work.
Some good deals this week. Shame I don't have any damn money.
Linkin Park did the soundtrack for Transformers....so they endorse human genocide at the hands of giant robots apparently.
I agree. However, I also believe Activision and Blizzard have every right to try and defend their source of profit.
As long as they don't do anything illegal or pursue litigation against Gamestop (which would be totally lame), I think they're well within their rights to attempt to use DRM or whatever to prevent the sale of second-hand copies.
That said, the moment that starts interfering with gamers ability to PLAY games, that's when they cross th...
Anyone know if it'll be necessary to Dragon Age to appreciate the sequel? Would love to get a chance to play it, but honestly, I'm not sure if I can fit a lengthy 80+ RPG into my scheduel. Certainly not with StarCraft II taking up all my time...
It makes sense. Who wants to try and go toe-to-toe with blockbusters like Halo or Gran Turismo or CoD? I mean, look at what happened to UFC 2010. It's a HUGE name that sold well, but when it had to compete with Red Dead, it's sales were less than ideal.
Launching with the big boys is like having your opening weekend go up against Harry Potter or Twilight. It's not a smart move. Fans can complain, but at the end of the day developers are there to make money. It'...
For the record, Oni was actually a pretty decent game.

HELL YES. GI JOE AND HARRY POTTER!
Backbreaker was a big disappointment --just like every football game that tries to challenge Madden.
Why? Everyone is going to be too busy playing the new GT to care very much.
Ah well. There's enough games to tide me over until then though.
I'm totally doing a shitload of drugs before playing this game.
Good game. Needs moar Megan Fox tho
Awesome game. Must buy IMO
It is, sort of. Gives you inspiration and new ideas to experiment with! The best way to learn is to experience and see what's out there. And if that means spending 8 hours a day playing WoW so you can learn about level design instead of studying for your mid term, so be it!
Split/Second was one of those awesome, overlooked games that people really should check out.
