This is a really cool interview. Something I would never think about normally, but once you understand all the work that goes into this it's really impressive.
You're in for a real treat!
The "repayable narrative" idea is really interesting. Can't wait to see how it actually plays.
I think Rapture could be hard for audiences to understand in a 2 hour movie. A 12-15 game experience is different and really lets the world breath.
Really interesting stuff. I had no idea he wrote as well. It's clear why this guy gets so much work. He's super talented!
I think a lot of people felt the same way. Part of it has to do with the way Sony marketed this thing. NMS is just not the "do anything you want in space" game that people thought it was going to be.
This isn't really my kind of game, but based on what you're saying here I can totally respect what they're doing. Seems like a lot of cool design choices
The AC series started to feel a little stale around 3 for me. Black Flag gave the series a spark, but hopefully this new title will be more of a reboot for the series (rumors claim it be).
It's cool to see DICE experimenting with something we haven't really seen in AAA shooters before. If this pans out, CoD could be in real trouble come October.
Nows the best time to jump on the Witcher train! Both DLCs are amazing, which is saying something since the main game was so awesome itself
Totally agree. It takes a lot of resources to pull of something like this, but it's worth it when developers really put the time and effort into it.
I didn't even think about the whole Olympics tie-in opportunity. Seems like a good time to bring Skate back.
Dice has really nailed the Star Wars experience.
Don't get me wrong, a good score can definitely help push emotion. But sometimes no music at all can make a moment in a game, show, movie or whatever even more more powerful.
Totally agree! Developers are sometimes too eager to fill silence with noise. A lot of TV shows and movies do this too. One of my biggest pet peeves.
I haven't been into RE for a while now. But if this can return RE to the survivor horror throne then I'm all in
Nothing's scarier than just a slight twist of our everyday lives.
Sony has just had more high profile exclusives get delayed. Microsoft is still developing a lot of its exclusives for release next year. Anticipate delays from them too.
Yeah. It definitely seems to capture the "feel" of World War I, but Battlefield has never been about realism haha
Rod Serling is the man. I unfortunately had to cut out a portion of the interview where Ken talks about how Rod Serling used the Twilight Zone to get around political censorship. The man was a genius.
