Really glad to see South African developers and African developers in general taking advantage of their unique cultural traditions. There's so much potential there for great storytelling
I can't wait to dive back into this universe. There are so many more stories to be told here
I'm happy RE is back in its groove. Interesting how the series' turn to action horror spawned a lot of indie horror dev, which then sort of led back around to this kind of experience in RE.
I wonder if Dice will do what the other Battlefront games did and just retell classic Star Wars moments. I hope they do something unique, but kinda doubt it
This game looks pretty fun! I've always thought Ninja Theory made, at the very least, interesting games. Here's hoping they can get back on track with this one
Two very different games haha. But both worth it I hope
It's an important lesson for devs to learn. Being able to understand another person's situation is important for our society, not just the medium.
I remember the developers of Halo saying something similar about Cortana's design. They claimed that Cortana uses her "body" as a means of distracting people (heavy paraphrase there) and that her sexuality is something she uses knowingly. It was very clear they backed into that answer after designing a character for a specific audience in the first two games. There's a conversation to be had about stylistic choices like that but it needs to be thought out and done so that th...
I hope they get real psychedelic with this. The creative team behind this is impressive, so I have some hope they can capture the spirit of the film
The Blitz game mode sounds like such a bizarre but genius idea. Seems like there's a lot to keep track of but a lot more room for strategy.
It almost seems like Naughty Dog can't miss, but we'll see if they continue their streak with Part II. Fingers crossed.
The Last of Us is a must play. Kentucky Route Zero is definitely hidden gem
I understand feeling this way when you put a lot of effort, time, and money into a game, but there's no excuse for this kind of behavior. Some games are just bad. Learn your lessons from the response and try again on the next game
Hahaha it's the most dire, stressful road trip ever
That's what the best open world games do. They make the journey matter just as much as the destination.
A lot of these monsters and character are public domain at this point, so that helps haha
This looks really impressive. Maybe this will introduce some people to classic horror again
Totally agree. The world just feels empty. The NPCs don't feel like characters, just quest givers
JRPG side quest design can be very different than what we find in Western RPGs. The differences are pretty interesting
For sure. Just needs to be the right place
