now if Americans only had the good sense of Canadians to be pissed off at negligence of airport security or at proprietor of World Trade Center instead of at the terrorists of 9/11, we wouldn't have gone to Iraq

maybe change is necessary, but I don't think the type of change you're talking about, like the number of characters that can fight in a battle, will help much...

I just think the people who keep churning out these massive FF titles need some practice making smaller, more compact RPGs. Many FF titles, even the old classics, tend to lose their identities after 2/3 or 3/4th of the adventure because they just keep dragging on unnecessarily. We didn't need to defeat Ba...

did you get tired of 1 star battle rankings too? ^^

Are the people criticizing DA:O for being turn-based on crack or something? Or is the combat in the console versions slightly different? The only way the PC game I played would be remotely turn-based would be if you're pressing the pause button every 2-3 seconds... I played the game on my computer without pausing on hard, and it wasn't particularly that challenging, so I don't know what's up with you pausers...

If I'm not mistaken after reading the article and looking at screenshots, the discount clearly originates from Microsoft's cashback program, not Meijer's or any other company's initiative. If you used google and did the exact same thing, you wouldn't get the cashback bonus...

I think this article's a bit over the top with drama, but I have come across situations on the internet in which I've faced the inexplicable animosity of people like John who've tried to unmask my Internet identity for their own agenda. Many people on the web are indeed unreasonable; they'll hate your guts for some trivial offense like not ending your sentences with a period mark. Maybe the problem lies not so much in the people themselves, who may well be civilized enough in ...

I really don't see what the Unfair Competition Act has anything to do with whether FFXIII causes PS3 to freeze or not. Sounds like a bunch of BS that a middle school student wrote night before a paper deadline lol

the guy who wrote the article knows what he's talking about. for a top quality reproduction the guys at square enix would pretty much have to start from scratch. obviously they may be able to skip a few steps for a shoddy second-rate product, but what would be the point then?

I've played both games and enjoy them. I'm not gonna compare which is better, but you give a weak argument for the Witcher's superiority. Skill descriptions are always vague to some degree - for example you don't know how much +hit you get by switching to precise sword style either in the Witcher - and that's a good thing. And if you thought "Alistair is the heir to the throne...the end" was the best part of Dragon Age's dialogue to compare to the Witcher, th...

Dude before you guys start shit talking, put yourselves in Square Enix's shoes being asked about an FFVII remake all the time. It's obvious they're tired of the question so they make an exaggeration to shut you guys up, duh?

I liked Devil Survivor more than Strange Journey ^^

They're pretty similar games except for a few gameplay changes but the setting and the characters of Devil Survivor just appealed to me more =P

well the parts of Persona 3 that really excelled for me were the ending and "The Answer," and I think those components surpass Persona 4. The fourth installment's ending just didn't have as much of an impact with the random final bosses appearing and the happily-ever-after ending

In terms of character interaction though, gameplay, voice acting, and early to mid-game development of story, Persona 4 really does surpass its predecessor ^^. Though Junpei is just...

I'd like it if they announce a triple A title that doesn't belong to previous franchises.

yeah I rather enjoyed Fallout 3's ending. The way it went out with a bang made the main story alot more enjoyable to me than Oblivion. The main character makes life bearable for the people in the DC area, even if s/he ultimately changes nothing whatever about the fate of man...

I really don't understand what people have against the ending unless they charged into the main story without exploring several side quests and such

well I played Fallout 3 quite a few patches after release and I had Broken Steel (though I haven't had the time to go through that yet). Still, I rather enjoyed the Fallout 3 heroic ending in which the main character died (or so I thought before I woke up in the Citadel). But then I had done quite a few side quests so I was ready to get some closure to the game.

I don't really know how much the patches and Broken Steel changed the choices at the ending I played thou...

you reversed several numbers in your formula ><

should be 100 * (1-180800/313900) instead of 100 * (1-313900/180000)
same with all the rest of your formulas

I wouldn't normally bother posting but if you're gonna take the stance of math nitpick, it'd be best if you got your formulas right lol

Dude you'll notice I never defended Final Fantasy XIII or JRPGs in general. Did I say FFXIII was a good game? You're the typical gamer with limited attention to detail. All I've said is that RPGs do not need choice or character creation, whether they're made in the West or the East, and that Western gamers who fuel stupid arguments like how a game doesn't let you choose your avatar's personality isn't really a RPG need to shut up already.

choices aren't necessary to role play a character, and neither is character creation. These are developer TECHNIQUES to encourage rapport for Western gamers with short attention spans and limited imagination; these devices are some of the means and not the end in of themselves... Role-playing games can be great with or without relying on such time-tried methods. Just because Dungeons & Dragons did something one way doesn't mean role-playing games for all eternity have to follow it...
