That's the issue according to FROMSOFT. They'd *love* to do a remaster, but Sony won't even return their calls.
Tell me you don't know what a remaster is without telling me.
Bloodborne is infamously capped at 30fps on either system--a bizarre design choice given that speed and reaction time is central to the gameplay systems. This capped performance was never patched out officially, unless you jailbreak and mod your console. A remaster for modern hardware, not the infamously finicky PS4 devkits, would be a great way to both hyper-optimize the game *and* drive sales for the PS5, w...
Take all the time you need IO, especially with an IP as storied as James Bond.
From what I understand, people are content milking passives from CSGO skins and helping Gabe get VR where he wants it to be. That's the problem with constant innovation, eventually you can't stop forward momentum and you stop your output right out.
Ohhh yeah, a lot of people are going to lose their jobs. There's always homesteading!
A mobile--instant pass.
Someone needed to get fired.
Saved me a click.
The key point from the vid/article: nobody knows where the source code for FO1 is. That's the only thing hampering a remaster project. Bethesda, or whoever, would be better off completely remaking Fallout from the ground up, and that's not what people are asking for.
I don't think nostalgia is the deciding factor; while it helps, I think it's a cart and horse situation. Sony and Microsoft got on the graphic fidelity train and started making games emphasizing visuals over gameplay—style against substance. Nintedo went the opposite direction; they couldn't compete visually, so they invested heavily in fun gameplay. Nintendo might not be very technically impressive, but you can't say their titles aren't fun as hell to play.
Oh yeah. John, Josh Sawyer, and Chris Avellone all knew each other through Black Isle Studios and Interplay, as far back as Fallout 2. Fallout New Vegas is technically a sequel to the original Fallout 3, Project Van Buren, which was built on a GURPS campaign run by Chris.
Starfield is NOT a 100-hour game. It's a 10-hour game with abyssal, flavorless filler.
I'd love a game where it turns out Mutt's a POW in Hanoi, and Indy and the CIA team up to rescue him.
I would love to see her mod list. Or is she playing it raw?

Also 131 isn't even the top ten biggest downloads I have on my drives lol.
WHOOOSH!
I don't want any game to fail. If the game is *good*, nobody needs to worry about it failing. Good games are fun and engaging to play. Concord is neither; it's a soulless Overwatch clone that's an absolute chore to play.
I'll believe it when I have the game in my hands.
That's identity politics for you. On a sidenote: did you ever notice that the end-game bosses and characters don't address Sheva in cinematics? There's a theory that Sheva was added so late in development that Capcom didn't have time to record dialogue for the last few areas of the game, so they just trimmed around her being there. It's really jarring once you realize it.
Some part of me wonders if there's some sort of corporate war going on at Sony.
