as shit as the last few month of silence have been, i'm so glad they didn't take our money and run. that's what I thought had happened. I was wrong and this update is sweet. I've actually been able to get back on with playing it now, enjoying it too :D

ps4 does hdr and if you have a 4k tv it has an upscaler.... which is all the pspro has to offer. is there anypoint in getting one? was gonna get one in jan but I may just get a better hdr my dx700 is only 8bit so it may be wiser to just upgrade that. by the sounds of it I will get a better upgrade that way..

@uth11 you say that with such certainty. however, there's nothing to suggest that they haven't designed it along side. in fact a leak suggested this was the case before ps pro was even official. so..... probably is going to happen. shame they didn't release them together to be honest. i'd off paid an extra hundred for a pro +
if ps5 isn't native 4k/60 or higher, i'm jumping to pc @ least until the good exclusives come along 3 years in to the cycle. if it meets those specs with a decent increase in meshes then day 1, if not then meh....
After spending so much time playing uncharted mp @ 60fps. I find it so hard to play games in 30fps as my eyes have become too sensitive to the stuttering of 30fps games. meaning it actually ruins the experience now. 60fps as minimum is essential. it's 2016 ffs n we're still stuck at 30fps for everygame. fps is more important than res. the mistake all platforms have made is they should have forced lower res higher frames last gen as a standard then added res on top. so this would have ...

your info is all wrong. a 4k tv is a 4k tv, even as small as 40 inch you notice an increase in detail. HDR add's a yellow pixel, and a wider range between black n white plus the increase in colour as you say.

this was a nice surprise. looks pretty good in hdr, can't wait for uncharted to get it though more poly's more light reflections ect. thus better looking when hdr hits.
