I reckon there's a few times Nintendo copied sony too. Using the cd, which sony created (with Panasonic)
Also the n64 launched 2 years after the ps so Nintendo copied 3d graphics too.

Offering free games if you subscribe to the online.
Been able to take a console online in the first place.
I'm sure the list goes on.

But there's also the fact that they copied the Atari 2600 with cartridges.

Sony made the cd, the attachment, Nintendo were greedy and didn't want to share the pie.
So sony manufactured their own console.

I'd say that's an upgrade in performance.

If you compair it to home consoles then its lacking in terms of raw power. The way I see it is the switch is a next gen DS that can also be wired into a tv.

If you think of it like that, its an impressive unit.

I'm in the UK got 300mps down with 9ms ping. It's my upload that's naff, 20mbs still plenty enough to stream games. I was on psnow for a while, whilst there was some input lag, it was pretty much none existent. No more so than playing on a tv with slight input lag...(most tv's)
I think it's mainly America where the internets crap.

As for streaming games, I welcome it as long as the price is right and its there as an option, not a requirement. No...

I'm a ps player first and foremost and have been with no exception since the ps1 the ps4 may have shiny graphics and a wicked lineup but some of the games lately have just been ridiculously slow in terms of pacing. What I'm trying to say is graphics are not the be all and end all.
The great thing about switch is I can pull it out whereever I am, jump into a game and get my fix on some quality titles. They may not look as shiny as ps4 but on a tiny screen it doesn't really...

Jlove4life PC master race will cry when their desktops inevitable become hidden behind a paywall.. Desktop as a service will be a thing. M$ will ensure that.

My pros been acting up since this update... Normally really quiet but has started roaring, massive framerate drops in games... Had to rebuild the database n all seems okay now.. Don't know if its related but only started happening today so thought it's worth a mention..

No one's asking them to change their creative vision tho, just add options that open it to a wider audience. That is all that's going on here.

@medman I played all of those games man, didn't enjoy them or finish them..

For the most of them I played for an hour or 2, the longest I stuck with was borderlands. But that's because I was scooping with my mate. Funny story actually, my mate was focused on the game n said I just started aiming up and spinning endlessly, he said he looked over at me and I'd fallen asleep playing.

I never fall asleep mid game...
