Let me tell you something, the 3DS is awesome. They keep pumping content into that piece of tech and I NEVER leave my home without it. Its just one of the best portable gaming devices I've ever had and I have them all.
I was about to sell my Vita, but I will hold on to it a little while longer because I feel there will be new life flowing into that device with the intro of PS4. If Nintendo can get their software right, WiiU will be a banger.

I think based on the article the author was having a little fun with his writing style and was depicting what he thought the game meant for him. :)
Nothing in the graphic style of the game or even what he said hinted that it was dark territory they were crossing, like say Batman Arkum Asylum.
Its to bad that things are always perceived as having to win and lose. I guess this is the only way human beings can think or make associations.
Their is a valid point to make about most children growing up not with Mario but with Rovio's Angry Birds. A travesty really.
Personally, I am a gamer and I thought all my children right. First Mario, then we gradually move on to the big boy consoles. We started with Mario, we are now on Ratchet and Clank.
This is high praise from a famous, influential and very liked developer. For him to say this about Rockstar specifically and a Western developer generally should raise eyebrows in Japans. At the very least.

If publishers are to be believed, the gaming community wants more open worlds, more multiplayer modes included in largely single-player games, and connected experiences.
Uhhm, when did I ask for multiplayer experiences in a single player game? Or connectivity?
I just want to play a fantastic game, with great mechanics, awesome story and FUN to play with lots of varied things to do.
