There's going to be a devs out there that put Natal to good use. Who cares what MS are pushing, there are devs out there that have development kits for this thing and some devs that have been using the same imput methods in their games for years may decide to take on this challenge and innovate. Those that have been developing for Wii will have honed their abilities over the past year and will jump on the opportunity to access Xboxs large userbase.
By saying this peripher...
Least it's only semi awful and not full awful like Wii. But really, how hard is it to come up with a decent name? Aren't people paid to do that?
Woah
Can you hide it?
Perhaps it doesn't need to go on top.
Probably will have a power brick, just hope it's a smaller one!
Hard to know what size it is just from that pic. It could be very small.. I'm sure they wouldn't redesign if it wasn't losing weight and size.
My first (launch) Xbox 360 RROD'd in its first year, but I never sent it away because I was not bothered to be honest. I just put it away in a cupboard, and a few months later when some games came out I wanted I took it out to send it off, but decided to test it again and surprisingly it worked.
I had it another two years and it worked fine. Then one night I was drunkenly messing around and I dropped it down some stairs. The game inside (Fallout 3) never worked again, but...
Because slim is coming.
@Mystic Strummer
You misunderstood. Move IS the wand.
@Dan_UK
You raise an excellent point but it looks like you posted it in the wrong topic as we weren't talking about formats.
Just to clarify, I wasn't bashing Sony; there's just no point in having a wand on both the HD consoles.
@NecrumSlavery
"Its PS3 Eye in the shape of a Wii Sensor Bar."
You can put that twist on pretty much any piece of technology. It is new tech, so is Move. They both have great potential.
@DaTruth
It's a new imput method, new game experiences will come from BOTH Natal and Move. When Dig...
Least MS aren't making another wand, that would be no good for the industry. Even if Natal fails it will still have a positive effect in pushing the industry in new directions.
You're right, it doesn't matter too much. Look at Wii. Worst Name Ever.
Playing Chu Chu Rocket online Would be fun, never got the chance first time round.
There's going to be like a Dreamcast channel? Having a Dreamcast section on PSN/XBL will be great, and a great way to support Sega. Annoying thing is though, I recently spent like 200 squid getting a Dreamcast and 20 of the games considered the must own titles, and have sank 100s of hours into Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia with no trophey support!! LOL, but least I had the original control and VMU, can't beat the Dreamcast :)
"Instead, the games will rely on a device the size of a stapler that perches on top of a living room TV to recognize faces, obey voice commands and track body movements."
What kind of staplers do they use in LA?
:S
As a collector, I'd rather they stuck with the same size and the neon green boxes, looks better when they're all stacked up if they're same shape and colour.
The flustered approach to motion controlled gaming on both sides is laughable. Nintendo used motion control to make a quick buck without having to build expensive hardware. It worked for Nintendo, sure, but it's getting old now. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo ditched motion tech next gen and and used all their wii money to pummel Ms/Sony with innovation AND hardware capability.
Ninty, please don't use steering wheel for F-Zero.
Yeah, I bought a Xbox instead of Wii because I felt it catered to me the best as a core gamer. I was really excited for Natal and thought MS was going to use motion control to provide new types of gameplay for core gamers, their PRIMARY F'KING AUDIENCE.
