I have played a fair number of the Wii's sword slashing games, and they all had the same single problem. You can't turn your wrist when you swing or the motion won't be read properly. But, in this trailer if you watch carefully between 56-58secs you an see the on screen character turning his wrist just like the player/ Assuming he's actually playing the game. Either way I'm sold, bring on some Red Steel 2.
that the article said that the games production only started last summer? If that's the case we are in for one rushed game.
Hey all. I started a little petition over at EA's Dead Space forum to voice my displeasure. I encourage all of you to do the same. The post I added with my petiton is below.
"I am creating this thread in hopes that someone at EA will get the hint that Wii owners do NOT want a 'on rails shooter' version of Dead Space. Just like we did not want a 'On Rails' version of Resident Evil, a Fighting version of Castlevania, or an adventure version of Soul Calibur.

Reading through all these articles and comments makes me wonder why "Nintendo" suddenly become such a bad word.
One things for sure, there's too much bad blood between Sony fans and Wii fans. (Microsoft fans also, but to a lesser extent.) The whole Nintendo argument is based on the assumption that "Nintendo" supposedly abandoned the 'core' gamer. This however is simply not true. Nintendo always focused on the more friendly oriented games and let third parties ...
That might be the worst top ten list I have seen in a while. Greg's Anatomy at ten? Madworld only at the fifth spot? Sadness?
Wow, just wow.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one. The Wii can use some more good action/adventure games.
You seem to be intelligent enough person and I understand where you are coming from. BUT, you clearly don't get that Nintendo is a corporate company and not a bank that gives out loans to struggling devs.
Game development is a game of extremely high risks and rewards. We are in one of the worst recessions in a long time and things look like they will only get worse.
It is not Nintendo's responsibility to save these companies. If anything, there giving lots of smalle...
I just spent the last two hours playing one of my all time favorite role playing games, Shining Force, and I had an absolute blast.
Now, some might argue it was just nostalgia, but trust me it wasn't. Some games just don't need HD graphics. Have you ever played Hot Shots on the PS3? It looks pretty stupid with all the HD graphics and being able to see every blade of grass. It really does not suit the style of the game at all.
I got to specific part in GOW where I kept dying over and over again, I think it might have been around three or four times in a row. The game started to ask me if it wanted me to lower the games setting to 'easy' which I did not.
After a few more tries of getting closer and closer to beating the boss as I figured out his patterns. I accidentally allowed the game to be set to 'easy' because I was in a rush to get back to the game and didn't notice the question when it popped up....
I want it, I want! Are you listening Capcom?
The next two or three months are going to be extremely important for Wii owners and third party developers. If games like the Madworld, Conduit, House Of The Dead Overkill etc, sell well. Then a lot of fanboys and shoddy Third party developers out there can finally shut the hell up.
Is that some sort of threat?
How about "make a game people want to play or its bankruptcy"
Excellent post my friend, bubbles for you.
Do you want to know why the Wii's first party games sell the best? Because they are always the best made and the the most highly promoted. Deadly Creatures looks like an interesting enough game, but your right it probably won't sell that well. Why? A.-It's been getting delayed repeatedly, which indicates there is some d...
From what I am reading I can divide the readers here into very distinct groups. Older more mature gamers who understand that the Wii is a new breed of gaming. And the other group, young so called "Hardcore Gamers" who are scared sh!tless that the Wii will forever change the face of gaming.
The fact is that the Wii has already hurt the PS3 and 360 far more than anyone wants to admit. Nintendo has proven that the Wii is NOT a fad and that a lot more people want to play g...
I missed out on the first game, but I'm really looking forward to this one.
These are just screen shots from the January issue of NintendoPower. (An excellent issue by the way that every Wii owner should pick up, trust me.)
I really want to get this game and I don't see it coming to the US. Will the Freeloader disk still work on my Wii even though I have all the latest firmware updates? If not is there another option?
"You do understand that Software sales are more than just the top 10 right? Lets take a look at the Week of December 20th shall we? 360 sold 6.2m units of sofware including the 3 free games that they give out depending on which 360 you get.. Wii sold 8.6m units of software.. Now how exactly is the 360 selling more."
The truth is that Nintendo is making a killing off their first party games. The lack of third party support for the Wii is where all the criticism has come ...
The graphics in this game literally look like a PS1 title. Don King and 2K are going to butcher another title and make a mint off of it.
If you live in the US, Best Buy and Gamestop offer a Red Steel and No More Heroes, 2 pack for $30. I'm not sure about other countries obviously.
