I didn't read the article. My comments are solely about my personal opinions on the two games.
I thought Twilight Princess started off well. I liked the roof top Hyrule castle scene and the forest dungeon is probably one of the best in the game.

Gaming is a hobby, not an addiction. Now, I know some people who are OCD when it comes to gaming, but that still doesn't make it an addiction.
Some people get sucked into these fantasy worlds (fan fiction for books, tv shows, movies games, etc.) Some don't. It's the person not the media.

Actually, I kind of agree with caseh. I just replayed this on the virtual console less than two years ago and was very disappointed with it. I think it's seriously over shadowed by the playstation and gameboy advance games.
Does Nintendo rely to much on franchises? NO.
When a game comes out that is selling five or ten million copies plus, every time it's put out they must be doing something right.
It doesn't matter if it's Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Capcom, Ubisot, Apple, Coke, Pepsi, etc.
If you don't like their games so much stop buying them and S.T.F.U.

I'm tired of hearing about "gamers" whine about Mario games and Nintendo's first party games. Personally, I'll stop buying their games when they start making crappy ones. Nintendo's going to succeed in pretty much what ever they choose to do.

I was one of the people who was really siked for this game. I went out and bought it on the day one and was pissed! This game was one of the biggest disappointments I have played in a long time. I hated the fact that you had to manually control the camera. I hated the fact that there were all these beautiful detailed towns filled with people and you couldn't talk to almost ANY of them. This will be a huge seller this x-mas in the US. I can see a lot of the people who gave up on there wii and sold theirs picking this up. Not to mention families that couldn't afford the console or didn't want to go through the hassle of buying one. Imagine how much money Nintendo would make off a pink wii with its huge female install base. It's no wonder why Nintendo is in no rush to put out a new console.

I tried to read the entire article, I really did....but, this guy really needs to get a grip. First, he's crying because the console didn't live up to his ridiculous expectations ( a "true" virtual reality experience, perfect controls, etc.) Then he starts taking shots at Nintendo for "milking" the franchises?

I understand that there is this huge flame bait war going on between all of the 360, PS3 and Wii fans, but come on get real. When did everyone forget that gaming was about fun and escaping reality through fantastical worlds often times with the help of mild narcotics?
If anyone should be getting sh!t on it should be the lazy developers who push out crap game after game, whether it be on the 360, Wii, or PS3 etc. And yes, I know the Wii has been the victim of by far the most shovel ware...
I can't believe that know one is complaining about the slowdown during the combat in the first game. All these new additions sound great and all, but that's what I really want to see fixed.
