Exclusives is impt. for me, sony exclusives and jrpgs along with gears/halo and some jrpgs matter pushed me to buy consoles. If exclusives did not matter, then I have no use of consoles..im gonna stick with pc gaming.
I always read that the term upon activations means that you have to buy the service first...though the bad thing is that the free game is only after the 30 day period.

I think a price cut is possible during the holidays. But software drives sale more.
Duh, its too early for that. Now, if the sales are not in their expectation months from now, they'll bundle the memory card (16GB) or have a price cut of $50.
I buy games based on genre, then the demo, then the developers and then reviews.
Gamers should not consider reviews as the sole factor in purchasing games. Buy what you like for yourself.
The PSP has JRPG that I always play (it suits my taste), I find it frustrating that the West gaming media bashes it.
Would it be a success? No one knows for certain.

I am talking about the developers of software. The piracy problem was higher compared to the consoles.
Cross platform play, content sharing with PS3 and vita, online/co-op...make those happen and we have a winner.
The problem with the PSP was more on software (original not pirated) wherein at a business POV was quite a problem.(except in Japan) It is a success hardware wise especially that this is the first thing to survive against Ninty. (we all know Nintendo is king in handheld.)
For B/C, its not GPU dependent but more on the processor t be utilize. The reason we don;t have PS2 compatibility on the PS3 slims is because the Emotion Engine is vastly different than the cell making porting/emulating PS2 games difficult/costly.
AMD did report that they would boune back this year as they have unannounced project that will give them enough revenue going forward. Supplying the GPU for MS, Nintendo and Sony coincides with that statement.
Still, this is a rumor. Though with AMD and Sony PR denying it, it hints that it might be true.
Edit: I wonder what GPU they will use, I hope its the 6870 or probably the low-mid tier HD7000 series.

If true, then all console manufacturer are going with AMD. Well, AMD gives more performance for buck.
If you want yo pay 3x the price, lousy battery life, android OS hogging the memory compared to the vita OS...ok then..
I explained it in my post. Eurogamer has an article wherein a Sony rep explained this. Right now, they are balancing retail and digital which is quite difficult to do.

Well, HDD prices today are up by 150% so it depends when they release it but patcher is most of the time wrong so...
