" If a day one patch is needed to make the game playable or more refined, reviews of unfinished games shouldn't be done in the first place"
then the publishers should provide supply the review copies very early maybe a month or two before release. some have the cheek to send review copies a day before launch. also the publishers should have QA departments that should find bugs before release
£119 pounds damn you were lucky
Exactly especially when they can add it to their marketing campaign lunch trailers like they do in all recent trailers " ign gave it 10/10" " forbes its more than a game" unknown site this is the game you got next gen for and so on and so forth
You are right but as consumers some feel the need to have an item before everyone else, case in point cod day zero edition really... I mean like really but I digress as I am about to go into a rant.
the hardcore cod fans with that 24 hour window can rank up and prestige 10 times before other gamers get access this is the kind of thinking that has led us to where we are now and why publishers are able to get away with some of these rubbish.
I think we need rev...
"I mean really now, if the likes of Kotaku and Polygon can actually agree on something then maybe there’s a real and sincere problem here. This isn’t helped at all by reviews for the game being quite underwhelming."
Yup that exactly what i thought polygon and kotaku are always getting dogged but this time they stood up and called out ubisoft BS, i had to commend them
in most cases it seems to be the case. I mean if you are so sure of something why would you place restrictions on when the reviews can go up especially when it is so close to release day. when publishers do this I tend to be very wary. please if you do disagree with me post why as I want to understand it from your point of view
Well said, plus bubbles
BLASPHEMY!!!! i am not listening to your blasphemy
What difference does it make oh my polished turd looks better than your polished turd
I normally dont agree with polygon on anything, I even feel dirty with what I am about to say but they seem to be the only one taking a critical look at what is expected for a AAA release.gamers please think for a second we are paying $60 for this game and some sites even with these technical issues are giving this game a 10

enjoy
couldn't have said it better. how can they give a game with game breaking technical issues a 10/10, the game is not perfect and the review should show this, if you are going to review a game and not be as objective and mention its issues then don't do a review. I actually expected better from playstationlifestyle
@ ArgumentumAdPopulum
I was just about to type that, but Tim there is proof of said issues so its kind of hard to ignore

Ubisoft has been making stupid decisions after stupid decisions this gen nothing they do any more surprises me and I agree with you gamers need to take stand and not support trash like this when they are adding even more ways to get more money off you like below
ACU mobile app 1.99

I don't know what is going on at ubisoft, but as a consumer I don't really like the approach they have suddenly taken. from a business perspective they might be making right moves but as I am a consumer they are not doing themselves any favours on making me want to support any of their games.
