Well i am lucky then none of those games appeal to me (not they are bad games). I think a lot of gamers are getting smart to these shady practices of publishers.
I agree with some aspect of your comment about players being too harsh i can only speak for myself becuase i have been burned too many times to not be skeptical of this industry.
If these developers and publishers dont want us to be harsh they need to drop some of thier practices DLC before the game launches, on disk locked content, multiple pointless preorder incentives ala watch_dogs, yearly release for games that dont work that way AC series review and quality has dropped...

Completely agree with this article this year has left me somewhat jaded with gaming industry with empty promises, shady business practices and a complete disregard to the consumers of this media. Hopefully next year improves

couldn't agree more, has gaming fallen so bad that we award cooperation for providing shoddy products when there are others out there who provide better products but don't get our attention.
The AC games should not be a yearly franchise ubisoft saw the opportunity to milk the franchise and are now paying the price and some gamers are fine with this treatment? some even go as far to say its not as broken.... wait what it should not be broken in the first place,I think ...
Exactly, actions speaks louder than word also it took them this fiasco to want to work with gamers. Should it not have been like that from the beginning because i dont know its gamers that play thier games
I think ill keep my expectations in check and see actual gameplay videos before getting any hyped. if this year has taught me anything is we as gamers need to keep our hype in check. just because the last title did really well does not mean the next release will be or because our beloved publishers wont switch on us.

Lol i read that bit of him saying he has to buy a new console to solve the hard drive issues and stopped reading from there. MS made a big splash about the benefits of this when the update released for some games journo to come out and say something like that.... Im done

I don't mean to rag on sony but this is getting ridiculous now almost borderline embarrassing. its all good they are fixing something but when you perform maintenance for the slightest blip ( or new game release) on your network then it might be time to invest in a better infrastructure
