Actually the RRP for this gen was 39.99. so there is an increase of 9 pounds compared to this gen.
what happened to games will remain the same price to current gen. this will be another reason why some will not be so eager to go next gen .
edit: unless this is ploy to get people to go digital by increasing the price of hard copies

yeah i logged on to read article to see how he came to that conclusion and once i saw "$50 difference" i just closed the window and moved on. at the very least get your facts straight before making such a claim

fair point as it seems you are the target audience ms is going for with kinect bundled. but i feel they should also offer options. as great as some users find motion tech there are some users don't want this and cant justify why they should be paying a $100 dollar more

this is not a troll comment but for discussion sake could you list some of these functions the xbox one will be able to do on day one over the ps4
this is where it all comes down to what kind of gamer you are and how much you are willing to spend.
if you are a gamer not interested in motion gaming, having kinect with your console is not going to all of sudden make you want to play kinect games. sony thought about this and offered ps4 gamers the option to get the add on if they wanted to. i do see the point ms is taking because if kinect is bundled it will give developers the incentive to want to support the device.
the asynchronous matchmaking and reputation system are great ideas there is no doubt about it. for now xbox one multiplayer features does have the upper hand over psn. i do hope sony includes similar features to the psn

all the above are worth the 349 pounds i am paying as they will improve my gaming experiences in ways the current gen does not
some people think the latest means better and more improved functionality in some cases it is true but not all the time.
