This article is poor written and twisting truths to back up their choices. Yes, there is 17 Assassins Creed games but only 9 of them are AAA games.
Square went out of their way to fix FF XIV and made it one of the biggest MMORPG's going. Not bad for a DOA product.
Call of Duty 2+4 aren't the only good games. His arrogance is irritating. I'd guess 2,4,5,6,7 were all good worthwhile games. but it definitely gets patchy from there on.
This might be a standout Kickstarter game. It looked A LOT worse than this when it launched on Kickstarter. The guys down in France have really a lot since they got funded. Glad to say I was backer 190 on it.
It's fine but if you start to base your business around it shame on you.
This gen from Capcom we've already had Devil May Cry 4 SE, DmC Remastered, Resident Evil HD, Resident Evil Zero HD, Ultra Street Fighter IV and Megaman Legacy Collection. With Resident Evil 4+5+6 and 2 Remake on the way as well as Umbrella Corps which borrows a lot of asssets. I'm also guessing Dead Rising Anniversary for XBO, PS4 and PC coming August this year.
I hate the idea of people awarding Game of the Year to a game that came out a few weeks ago. Given a few weeks to consider, some games turn out to be forgettable even if they packed a punch when you played them.
Microsoft apparently tried to get it. They approached Insomniac to make it but they declined.
This is also designed as a tech demo for develope although that doesn't excuse the terrible design.
Yes but that is wholly irrelevant. It's common knowledge that Xbox is on life support in Japan. Vita is presumed to be almost flourishing with insanely high attachment rates and a near never ending supply of Japanese games.
What? That is the most random suggestion I've seen.
I'm agreeing with him...
Halo 3, Reach and 4 had fractured communities with the map packs and season passes. I played 20+ days on Halo Reach and probably played the dlc maps <10 times after they removed the dlc playlists.
I think this was a lesson they learned with Halo 4. The game split its community with the release the dlc maps. I rarely ever got to play the crimson map pack even when playing the playlist for it. Hopefully future titles, including Gears of War 4, will follow suit.
They want hits and heat on this article. You rarely get that with balanced and reasonable titles.
What?
I wondered why Capcom was so hesitant to support Xbox backwards compatibility. It's because they never changed.
In the words of Charlie Brooker "Just like your mum"
Don't spout such unfounded negativity, It's just boring to read day after day.
Microsoft are all for crossplay, as are Sony, obviously. The problem for Microsoft is that Psyonix released on the bigger platform first, as did FF XIV.
The problem is that either Microsoft and/or Sony does not want to work with the other.
No, but the game is seriously missing some intangible marketability. I keep an open mind with games and their trailers but I've learned very little from everything I've seen.
This is running the risk of being 'flop of the year', then.
Announces Naughty Dog to be better than Remedy although Remedy haven't released a $60 in 6 years.
Announces Uncharted 4 to be a masterpiece without playing it.
Uncharted is just a fun cliche. Not that that is a bad thing, but it doesn't make for a very deep narative.
Remedy are fantastic but they suffer from the same problem as Square Enix's core team and Team Ico. Perfectionists are slow and not very viable in an expensive business like ...
OG Xbox had a crazy variety of exclusives yet it didn't sell. Technically superior and considerably more innovative than the PS2 yet it was dwarfed in sales.
Please leave.
PS: Seriously? Final Fantasy? There are much better choices that fit the stereotype. Not that there is anything wrong with someone enjoying a game though.
