Congrats Sony. I'm sure they'll take May as well.
June's when the real battle begins.
Edit: Holy crap! Xbox One @ 115k?? (per Microsoft official statement)
And if you read my part, which I have evidence to prove that you didn't, I specifically said 'to you' because I realize it's more likely you were one of those people too self-involved to look your reflection...still, I gave you the benefit of the doubt.
I've also added the request to be impartial.
Since you have failed to recognize both points, let's just place 'you' in the side for now, chuck your sale anecdotes out of the win...
Do you not think PS+ being cheaper gives it an edge? What about that it doesn't restrict you from f2p games or MMOs like Elder Scrolls, FF14 etc? That's two advantages. May not be worth it to you but if you want to be impartial, you can't say they do not tip the scale.
Being in PR is dehumanizing. I highly doubt Larry has the capacity for shame.
Reptition is key. It's basic psychology 101.
I think he's trying to say he's confused as to why Devs are sad/happy when it's a victory for gamers. I could be wrong, tho'.
Also, nice avatar, Grib but I kinda liked the Guy Fawkes better. =p
@Fox: pretty much. When tonight's NPD comes out, suddenly everything will click in place. What would i give to see the look on Stephen Elop's face when Phil Spencer reported this.
Mattrick is still part of a larger system. To say every decision fell on him would be oversimplifying the reality of the corporate world.
Well said.
The man needs an outlet for his creativity. It's also a good idea if the competition (either Nintendo or MS) try to undercut them by releasing the next console like what happened with the OG Xbox-->360
@ infected: Penello's harmless. Bit of a clown and ignorant when it comes to technical knowledge but harmless.
Larry needs to go. He's got the highest number of quotable quotes after Mattrick and just above Phil Spencer.
Mehdi really needs to leave and join Don Mattrick at Zynga. The two are cut from the same cloth.
@naga: Oh please, we all know saying things like "MS knocking out of the park" is just a series of points you're reading off your order sheet.
If anything the focus on games should have been the norm. It's like someone saying 'hello' to you after spitting in your face for months. Your messed up view ends up seeing the 'norm' as somehow a Godsend from heaven.
Go read Reddit where the MS executives usually hang out. They're...
I disagree, they knew exactly what it was and what they wanted it for. Kinect, or at least Kinect 2.0, was made for a world where Microsoft was dominated. It was a gatekeeper for an entire Microsoft ecosystem (AR, surface integration) meant to sell you ads.
Problem was, the reality is that they don't have dominance so it ended up being an anchor around their neck.
Not sure what Yahtzee was referring to. Was there a proto-Kinect?
Jim's brilliant, as usual.
^this: If anything, it just casts more doubt on every single statement they have made this year.
What about the Cloud? Wouldn't the power it theoretically gives the XBO make this 8 percent increase negligible?
They'll have to contend with two big problems now, the loss of hardcore gamers and the fact that you can expect them to 180 on pretty much anything.
Sony is still getting accused of being arrogant for that "Get another job" comment. These things stick.
Realistically, you also predicated there'd never be a Kinectless Xbox, so your predictions are worthless.
Once is a coincidence...more than twice and you have a pattern.
