The brand has been damaged and their reputation tarnished. Some here would mock the constant bad rumors but they do not realize that the damage is cumulative and each rumor, even if false, adds up to people's sour feelings towards Microsoft.

@nevin: Your supposition only works if Sony's platform only publishes sony 1st party games. As the lead platform, they stand to make money off AAA juggernauts like Call of Duty, GTA and Assassin's Creed not to mention cheap, indie games like Minecraft and other upcoming hits.
So glad I got off the FF wagon but I'm still amazed at the twinges of pain I get whenever I see S-E doing stupid crap to sink further into irrelevancy. Please excited, indeed....sigh.
