the article doesnt suggest you bin your pc for a ps3, simply if you only have £450 to spend maybe you should look at the ps3 as an option. and people who seem to think you can build a gaming pc capable of crysis for just a little more money, get real, lets look at the best graphics card around (which is not enough for crysis on its own) the 8800 ultra, one of those bad boys alone will set you back more than a ps3, i know, i was stupid enough to buy one!

it cost me around £1500/$3000 for the tower alone and i still doubt it will be able to run crysis at max with a res of 1920x1080.
as to the difference's between the PS3/360 and a pc? both have motherboard, cpu, ram, graphics card, hard drive and the ps3 has support for operating systems, oh your right, that doesnt sound anything like a pc does it!
have any of you actually seen linux running on the ps3? no?
edit @ DEADEND, agreed mate, and now with linux you can run popular programs like firefox and VLC player straight off your ps3!
i will do this as soon as linux supports the RSX, ive used linux before and its very user friendly, much more so than windows!
ummm the ps3 CAN support 7 controllers....

there the only 2 big movies that HD-DVD have coming up! lucky for ps3 owners you'd be hard pushed to notice any difference between HD-DVD and the upscaling, i know i have a stand alone HD-DVD player and on the 47inch its practically exactly the same!

fifa, gameplay wise has never come close to pro evo! maybe this time round fifa may have the slight visual edge but, gameplay is everything here!
