Think of everything that could be done in DriveClub, especially if we consider how people were using Gran Turismo's photo mode.
Screenshot tools are always a good way of encouraging user content and having them "marketing" the game for ND/Sony/etc.

I can see Sony bidding for Crysis, that could be marketed as "Halo killer". And I'd also think MS will try to get Ryse. On the other hand, they need "GoW killer".
