Next Gen gameplay... really. Prettier graphics and better loading is hardly a step into next gen.
How about better AI. Newer ideas. Ubisoft looks to be taking the safe route and making the main character more like Ezio. I don't want another Ezio

It has the least clunky combat mechanics I've personally experienced this gen.
Diverse weapons. First dmc i loved all the melee weapons. For once the gloves worked perfect and creating enemies required u use them. The fact they weren't clunky helped immensely.
Lock on and style being gone kind of sucked.
And another thing the story was actually decent.
Dante acts pretty much the same as he did in 3.

I've been a dmc fan since it's inception. For me it goes dmc3>dmc1 and reboot> dmc4> dmc2, if u care to count 2
I still want to know what made dmc a bad game to ppl. It had some of the most fluid kind of combat system and tons of enemy variety. this game just got a bad wrap.
Lords of shadow was to me the first truly good 3d castlevania

Please I don't care about steam great service and all but I'm talking strictly games. All this emphasize on stuff like what they did to modern this and that. I'll give u the gravity gun as far as being unique but name me specifically what any of their games did that no other game did before it, that will be cemented through the annals of gaming history.

Honestly I find the story in HL good but very ambiguous to the point I feel they wrote themselves into a corner. L4D both r fun but will not stand the test of time. Portal 1 was decent and 2 I did not play. I find portal is an amazing concept wasted on just doing puzzles mostly. The rest also fun but we will not be talking about them much in the future. PC only gamers will probably always speak of counterstrike though.
When I think all time I think Capcom, Konami, or Nintendo...
