It's not necessarily the textures that increase the size, it's the models themselves. In order to get the game to look as great as it does, sure, the textures are a high resolution, but the poly count on these models are insane. The 3d modelers have been limited by the ps3 and 360 hardware for so long and now, finally, they have the hardware to just go all out and create what they've been wanting to make for so long. And as a side effect, the games are quite large.
Haha definitely. It's a lifesaver, if you have a PS4. I feel bad for the old xb1 user. They can have an external hard drive, but it sticks out like a sore thumb =P.
No pay to win, that's pretty awesome. It has an offline mode too so you're not forced to play with an internet connection. Blizzard could learn a thing or two from these people. Seriously.
And as I said before, the biggest shortcoming of the next gen consoles are the hard drives. 500 gigs isn't nearly enough for all the great games coming out. I would say 2 terabytes might suffice, but 500 gigs? That's child's play.

After reading the review, sounds like the guy was in a bad mood because he's a fps guy, not an rpg guy and had to spend his time playing it. Seriously, It's an awesome game. Not perfect, but a lot of fun. I'd give it an 8/10.

It may just depend on the track and car type. Most of the races I ran did have some great A.I. and I was able to race hard without driving into a seemingly unmovable car like other games such as Gran Turismo which was pretty awesome. But sometimes, I would drive into turn one only to see cars flipping and crashing like It was online racing lol. Also, one time during an oval track race with the stock cars, one of the A.I. had spun out, and decided to go backwards lol.

I played the closed beta and the A.I. is probably the worst ever. I mean, it's bad, really really bad. But, the visuals were gorgeous. The physics were fantastic. There are tons of tracks and many different types of cars to drive which all handle completely different.
As long as they get the A.I. to stay on the track and not wreck themselves instantly, then this game is going to be really really awesome. I can't wait. It's going to be one for the ages.
Honestly, this was the right choice. If they locked it at 60, they would have to drop some of the visuals which is what makes the game so stunning.
Lol please not let this be true. If they do, the whole franchise is completely ruined haha. They should put the game camera over the shoulder, give our character a broken leg and put a knife in our hand. Shove us in a zombie infested city and say, GOOD LUCK! That's what capcom should do. lol
For me, the biggest issue with MMO's is trying to play with friends. It's incredibly hard sometimes to keep up with them or to not get ahead level wise. If it doesn't take long to reach the level cap, then this evens the playing field for everyone, and it allows friends to play together all the time, rather than someone trying to catch up.

Honestly, I think the Wii U is only getting better. I think it had a terrible start, and was released at the wrong time. While some could disagree, I think they should have waited, put in stronger hardware to allow 3rd party devs to make great games, and have one hell of a competition between the 3 companies.
Instead, us nintendo fans had to wait ages to get games on a system that didn't have a lot to offer.

People love the Shenmu series no doubt, and would love to see a third iteration, but dishing out $500 to see it happen just isn't possible for most.
There's worse stuff on the internet. Seriously. While I felt the scene was kind of awkward, I also felt the devs were trying to get some type of emotion out of the player, and it seems they have succeeded.
GT2 was my first GT game and I was completely hood. However, GT3 has always been my favorite. It really pushed the graphical boundaries and did so gracefully. It was a huge jump from the PS1 and even now, it still impresses me.
I totally agree with this. When are we going to see triple A games on the vita? Indie games are great and all but I'd love to see big games hold their own on the handheld.
Also, outsourcing to port a game over is typically a bad idea, but a game of this magnitude... Come on Gearbox.
