I know firmware can sometimes mess up but not with the big inflated numbers that get thrown around. This is just some retards that think if they post this story on N4G, then people will see it and say "OH NO! I better get rid of my PS3 and get a 360 instead!". They might even think that people that are thinking about getting a PS3 will see it and say "No thanks! I do not want to deal with this problem so I'll get a 360 instead!"

Yeah.......another story about bricking PS3. How am I not surprised. Every time a firmware update comes out, some a$$hole comes out with a bricking story and acts like its a fact. This is really getting old and pathetic. I do not want to point any fingers but we get pretty good ideas where these stories come from.

No one cares that Nvidia makes bigger chips that cost more. In this day and age, it is all about how much performance you can get at the lowest price. Nvidia has always gotten ahead of themselves and this time is no different. So you can keep on loving your Nvidia chips and defending them all you want because my video card can pretty much do everything yours can at a better price. Even your 10 more frames a second does not bother me.
...Sony's disclaimers has this all covered. Also I really do not think this will hold up in court at all. When I had my 80 gig before it died on me, I never used the OtherOS feature. I even read on the forums that it was slow and you were locked out of the gpu. So, pretty much anyone complaining about this is most likely a hacker or someone waiting for a hack so they can play free games.
I think it looks good. I hope a demo comes out for it maybe a month or two before it gets released.
I brought the 5870 card because I did not want to wait for the 480 and Nvidia cards have always gotten too hot for my liken. Also, I wanted to give AMD my business because they are a great company that is going against two company's at the same time. Nvidia and Intel want to knock AMD out of the game but if they got their way then way higher prices then what they want now. Intel and Nvidia charge too much money for their products and I'm not going to support their high prices.
It's a shame that Gamestop has gone downhill. I do not really buy games from them anymore. Only new ones with the preorder bonuses. Amazon and GoHastings mostly get my money now because they have way better prices then GS.

The game looks good to me. I like the ghost recon series. I even have Advanced Warfighter 2 for the PS3. The screens are looking good so I have high hopes for this game.
Not everyone is big fanboy this gen. I have all three consoles, DS and PSP. I play whatever I feel like playing at any given time. I favor the PS3 more but 360 has some games that I am looking forward too. Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2 and Halo Reach are on my reserve list.

Final Fantasy VII was the best in my opinion. VI was the second and X is the third. XIII falls in there somewhere but I do like the game a lot. I do miss the towns but at least I can still buy all my stuff from a save point.
Now, I am wondering how Versus XIII is going to play. With towns being put back in and it being made from the creator of Kingdom Hearts. I just hope it is worth the wait.
AMD has been going on about the drivers for a bit now. I downloaded the test ones and there is a performance boost with these drivers. AMD just has to get their drivers bugs taken care of and they will get better benchmarks. Nvidia might have a better card but they make too much heat and eat too much power. I am fine with my 5870 card.

There are so many games that I am waiting for after GOW3. I thought after GOW3 that I could take a little break in the buying games department but Sony just keeps on coming out with the games. Pretty much any game that PhilipLarkin just posted about what it could be, I would pre-order first day. I am already up to 160 PS3 games and seeing how many games that keep on coming out, at the end of the PS3 life cycle, I am going to have well over 300 games.

And it does the job for me. When I use Nvidia card tho, they make too much heat and eat up a lot of power. Also, they are way overpriced for what you get. I have no doubt that it will beat out the 5870 in benchmarks, but as long as I can play my games on high running at 1920X1200 or even 1680X1050, then I will be happy.
