Every game has been built on a PC. Like Demon's Souls, Uncharted, Gears, Halo, inFamous, Heavy Rain, Red Dead Redemption.

The lack of inspiration and creativity created a downhill quality overall since AC2.
The laziness created a downhill in performance and polish, with its bottom on AC3.
The story, pfff, don't mention it... After appealing to the muricans in AC3, in a clear money grab move, it was clear the game would be dumbed down to the called "cod crowd".
The design is getting worse and worse, from stupid enemies and mechanics to cheap mission fails to worse-ing control...
Not to mention the hilarious extra bugs and glitches.
We don't even know how deep the sh*t will be on Dead Space, so it is not a good example for discussion.

I tried on PS3 as well, but the performance ruined the game, IMO.

No pay 2 cheat at all. If it was, there would be no problem at all. Multiple games offer cheats as DLC but it is not the case for microtransactions as it is becoming the trend today.
The games, sadly, are designed to force you into microtransactions. If you don't, you'll be on a terribly long grid.
Think about Diablo: You'll never find a weapon above average in the game itself. Go to the AH and you'll get, for really cheap, twic...
No GTA 5, no The Last of Us, God of War, Gears of War etc etc etc.
