just cause a games hardcore doesn't mean a casual can't play it same as a casual game anyone can play any game they want but Nintendo intended (damn those sound similar) to reach a broad demographic with brain training and I agree with you that I love it, while I may not be "smarter" my ability to solve problems has increased in speed. it's great.
how could you have a tool song in guitar hero, that would fry the programmers mind trying to figure that one out, but as long as zeppelin, floyd, beatles and other huge bands never sell out to these games I will still enjoy them.
I've noticed that nintendo and sony switched roles this generation, last gen, sony had the PS2 and while it had some great titles it had tons of shovelware and was cheap and had a casual market(not saying it was completely casual) and you had the gamecube, which was undersold and underrated (and no matter what fanboy you are you must agree, the PS3 was very underrated) But now it's switched, I don't know if that's good or not, oh and this article was posted weeks ago, and I have no clue why s...
brother I know what you mean, I hate when games that were originally made on the PC get the console treatment, let's take oblivion for an example, I bought oblivion on the PC because I bought morrowind on the PC and didn't want it on the 360 because I am afraid of change, but oblivion was the biggest piece of sh!t port I've ever seen to the PC, I have a top of the line PC and still when an animal came in my area the framerate dropped all because of stupid inefficient lazy coders, I don't care...
brain training is a casual title that reaches millions of people so of course there are going to be copycats, plus Nintendo knows that as a casual title it doesn't really require many sequels, casual gamers can play a game forever as long as it's simple and repetitive so I see no reason why not to can it, Nintendo has enough moolah as it is anyway.
Warren Spector did work on Deus Ex 3, so ya, he didn't have the lead role like he did with the first but he was still a big wheel of cheese, Deus Ex 3 could do better without him, as long as the devs are huge deus ex fans I can see an acceptable sequel seeing as warren works for disney now.
loved the first stalker (with some 3rd party mods) but as long as this one isn't rushed for release relatively bug free and more dynamic than the first than it will be one of the year's best shooters (IMO)
um so don't get me wrong, I loved the first gears, it had beutiful art direction, but the game still had the gun metal grey/dog sh!t brown filter on it, I'm really disappointed that all the upcoming big shooters have the same look, really looking forward to Mirror's Edge because it has that very nice color pallete to it.
um... does anyone realize, that the two big reveals (in ONM and Nintendo Power) in the next issue will be released after E3, so that means it could even be a new zelda, but it won't be the first we've heard of it because we'll have seen the trailer at E3 (hopefully) so these "big reveals" will have been on the interweb seconds after they're announced at E3, so yeah, don't get you're hopes up, oh and don't try to use clues nintendo power gives, you remember the moon? this is the same...
I had an idea about that, using the wad extractor and replacing the 64 rom file with the rom file you wish to use, I know it's probably not that simple but if this guy were to talk about how he did it, maybe all the rare 64 classics would finally show up on the wii, I wonder how long it will be until we have a full speed 64 emulator on the wii, well anyway in no way do I advocate piracy, I am strictly against it, but I feel the right to download roms of games I have previously purchased. (whi...
I love the retro look, but I hope it's not just a standard megaman, I really love when new games combine a retro look with a new gameplay style, I just want IR cursor aiming and maybe a few cool motion controls.
Only a handful of petitions ever work out in the end.
I've got an idea boys, lets make a petition to end petitions everywhere. tally ho!
Oh and I hate these stupid ass fans, that do this, they get a game that will be amazing and yet it will never be perfect, they always have to find something to pick at, just enjoy it it's a game, sure it the art direction may disappoint you but get over it you babies, just be glad diablo didn't get made into a first person, cell shaded, plat...
that's good, I mean great, but I've still got this little feeling of dissapointment, I really wanted retro to make an IP, they really are an amazing studio, combining core Japanese gameplay with a western twist.
i haven't really played a game where I can be evil/a complete d*ck except for fallout, and maybe deus ex, I hate when developers hype good/bad relationships, and how it is always a obvious choice between good and evil, there is no in between, it's always kill/don't kill or save/don't save. Hmm some examples, Bioshock, moral decision to kill girls, if didn't kill better benefits, if did kill, not as good benefits, that is not a moral choice, a moral choice is, if you kill the girl you get bett...
don't worry I'll agree with you, and diablo III will be a god of a game, but there will be a d#ckhead who gives Diablo III a bad preview, just so his site/blog will gets lot's of traffic because its controversial, I don't really care about previews, just buy/rent the game, I'm going to buy too human no matter what bad press it gets, I know it will exceed my expectations because my expectations are low for it right now due to bad hype.
As I already have said about the two big reveals in both Nintendo Power and ONM, it doesn't matter all they are going to do is announce a game that is revealed at E3, seeing as the magazine will be released at the end of the month and E3 is the 15. Don't get your hopes up for the latest cover of your favorite gaming magazine.
Konami doesn't have the best track record for 3d castlevanias, I think this game will be good but I mean it's obviously not Castlevania, it would be cool to fight people/things from the series I wonder what the roster is going to be. I would laugh if Konami included a brand new traditional castlevania on the disc and put it under extras or something.
if Ninty picked the Conduit up, in the interview they said they were working very closely with Nintendo, that day would be glorious than we would have two awesome mature devs working with Ninty Retro and High Voltage.
Nintendo has to keep pushing their old IPs out the door because thats how they make money, Sony could care less if they dropped the whole gaming business, same goes for Microsoft, they were rich as hell before they started making games and they only made consoles to try to get a bit more money, but Nintendo has always been a games company so the only way they make money is by selling games and consoles thats it, so they take their popular franchises and make them again, and every few years we...
the reason behind these people stopping will obviously be varied but the majority is people who bought the game solely on hype, they bought it because someone they knew bought it, told them about it, saw it on tv, they probably didn't intend to play it forever, I hate wii fit, the game in itself is not so bad, but the aura surrounding this whored product disgusts me and lowered my respect for Nintendo who, as of late, have not been putting up a good enough front for me a "hardcore" ...
