I guess it was to be expected though.
Exactly, Europe is ignored once again.
Either way, this article appears to be really old.
Pretty good for a PSP game, especially when a big 360 game came out at the same time.
Yea, but I think they are trying to address with that with the expansive online multiplayer aspect.
Well, in my opinion it's either this or Kingdom Hearts III. I don't think Square Enix have really announced a new major title (excluding DQX) for almost two years, so surely something has to give?
A new IP would be good, as long as they actually give it the necessary resources and don't just pump out something that's half-finished.
Hey, The Bouncer was awesome....for the 2 hours it took to complete the game.
Maybe we should pose another multiple choice question then. After they cut jobs were:
a) their profits up
or
b) their profits down
There are two sides to every coin.
No, Microsoft is cutting jobs so they can maintain their profitability. Reducing wages helps to cut costs. They aren't doing it because they are in financial difficulty, they are doing it so they can make profits and keep their shareholders happy.
Posting your lowest fiscal net profit since the company formed is seen by many to be "failing".
Edit: If the recession isn't new and you saw it coming, maybe you shouldn't be on n4g, but in a massively high-paid j...
That's fine, if it were true. Microsoft, Google and Nintendo are all going to make more than they did the year before and other companies such as Konami and Capcom are also projecting greater profits than fiscal 2008.
Square Enix on the other hand are posting their lowest fiscal net profit since the company formed. Blaming the global recession isn't really a good excuse, neither is using Sony to try and counter your argument. Just because they're doing a bad job, it doesn't mean ...
Er, you should probably check their fiscal reports. They aren't doing so great at the moment, or in fact for the last couple of years.
Tri-ace are only pally with Microsoft because they paid for all their development costs on Infinite Undiscovery and were initially supposed to publish it.
I'm not sure anyone is going to agree with your opinion that the PS3 is arcane, it's more to do with the Unreal 3 Engine than anything else. Besides, they were never supposed to come out at the same time, otherwise according to your logic the PC is arcane too.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with your point about peop...
Bungie and Guerilla aren't massive developer/publishers, so it's not really a fair comparison.
Konami have plenty of franchises aside from Metal Gear:
Castlevania
Dance Dance Revolution
Contra
Silent Hill
Pro Evo (Winning Eleven)
Suikoden
Gradius
Zone of the Enders
Plus, they also release other games like Rumble Roses.
I think that's part of the problem.
If you take away games relating to Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Kingdom Hearts... what do they actually have that's a major blockbuster and will sell units?
Star Ocean could be considered semi-up there, but apart from that there is basically nothing.
If anything it's the DS that's caused the problem. Aside from that, it'll be delayed because of financial projections, not because of any console.
I think it was found that the same thing also applies with Final Fantasy games too.
I think it's because they know how much Final Fantasy VII means to people, and they don't want to mess it up. Having the people on board who came up with the game ensures that the vision remains true and isn't reinterpreted by someone else.
Yea, the end boss was epic, and so was the ending cutscene. I think it's the best in any Final Fantasy game. I couldn't believe how long it was.
I was informed that Sony own the publishing rights to Final Fantasy VII in NA/EU, and based on Final Fantasy XIII, I don't think they'd release it on the Xbox 360 in Japan.
Hey,
Check your PM inbox for a reply to your question. :)
Well, since conceptual screenshots and artwork are, I don't really see how official wallpapers are any different.
