Vegas wasn't too bad, Vegas 2 wasn't that great though.

Man, I remember playing this way back in the day. Brilliant game, I loved planning out all the missions beforehand.
Maybe Space Western will be the next step. Space FPS has been rumoured as the future of the genre. :p
They seem pretty confident that their fans will like it, but the Wild West setting was what drew their fans to the title. Tough.
Same, I think it's terrible that developers believe we should just accept it.
Each of them brought (or will bring) something new to the genre, and you can't really ask much more than that. Nobody likes carbon copies.
Publishers still do it though, I mean, look at the Medal of Honor reboot. There's no way anyone can say that wasn't influenced by Modern Warfare.
Great game, this franchise is still rockin'.
It's kinda the same with Doom 3. It was pretty scary initially, but then it just becomes another first-person shooter.
It's nice to know there are still some indie developers out there that are trying to keep this genre alive.

I don't know if Nintendo should be worried or not. Clearly their titles aren't selling how they'd hoped.
