I'm the type of gamer that likes good games. Regardless of genre or platform (although I don't play sports games really). If it's fun, I'm down.
@nitrowolf,
I'm assuming that since you used gamespot.com and vgchartz it's safe to call them accurate now.
More to the point, it doesn't prove anything, my point still stands. You would think that if the exclusives were that life altering they would score better, sell better, have better word of mouth among gamers. Especially PS3 gamers.
You also bring up the iPad2 and the economy. First and foremost that is a multi-functional de...
They're close in the UK and Europe but in the states Sony is getting dismantled. Especially considering where they once were in the pecking order.
If somebody from Microsoft or Nintendo had said this the comments in this article would be totally off the wall. This site is incredibly biased towards the PS3 and anyone who doesn't tow that line gets trampled on.
@Nitrowolf2,
How does having the most exclusives help them? It hasn't helped them this far, so what's going to change now? I've bought tons of PS3 exclusives that are really good games but nothing that made me think "WOW this is SOOO much better than what anyone else is doing."
You also mention the new handheld. He should be feeling the pressure because no one I know is willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a handheld. Here in the state...
That is such an ignorant response.
It was free if you bought the Helghast edition or if you pre-ordered it. There was no need to pre-order it because there would be plenty of copies available and the series isn't worth forking out the money for the Helghast edition.
I may have been wrong about the price but 2 maps for $5's still sucks when it's a day one dlc option (instead of having it packed with the disc) and hardly anyone gets it so you don't get to play them that much. The game only shippe...
And it will still be better than any fps on the PS3. Quality games last forever. And as far as the map pack goes, at least they're good maps. Killzone 3 day one had a crappy map pack for dlc. I believe it was two maps for $10's. It shipped with a horrid selection of maps and now you want day one dlc purchases?
OT: I'm so down with this. I love the Halo series, especially the story/universe that it's in. As pleased as I am to hear this though, I can't but c...
That's pretty much what I just said.
I have all the books so to answer your question, yes the books do clear up a lot. The Halo universe is very deep and well explained thus far. There is a lot of rich history that would be excellent for more games. For example at one time, humans and San Shyuum (prophets) were teamed up against the Forerunners in a major war. I won't tell you what happened but it explains events that happen 10,000 years later. Great stuff.
The explanation is rather simple actually. The keyword to recognize here is live, it doesn’t say anything about not being injured.
In Halo 3 the master chief crash lands from orbit he’s knocked unconscious and his Mjolnir suit is locked up. Even in the novels Spartans have been injured jumping from crashing pelicans to all sorts of high-altitude maneuvers. However in the event of an explosion, the impact is different. The ships that explode in the Halo universe either have a...
No mopar, I don't think "It's an accident." That never even crossed my mind. Way to miss the entire point I was making.
Why do I even bother?
Don't you see what's going on here?
They're taking bits and pieces from the video shown earlier and making it seem a much bigger deal than it is. It's being taken out of context and made to be some official statement from Microsoft.
Some "good" journalism right there. Sheesh.
That was a refreshing article. Thanks for that.
I really hope it's Heavenly Sword II. I would love to see a sequel with a big push behind it. That's still my favorite PS3 game.
Of course he's going to sound like that. The video is an internal video that is going to be shown to investors, stockholders and various other big wigs.
The people with the money and the power.
It's his job to hype that product so the people who are backing it feel at ease that they are supporting a solid product. It's business and they all do it.
For the most part, all the examples listed above me are very close to CG quality games. The fact is though that none of them actually meets that standard.
What he said is true. People know that the trailer was a CG trailer and that actual gameplay won't look like that. That's not the same as saying the game will look bad. I think some of you are taking it too far with that one. Or to say "show me something or your game sucks." Whatever happened to giving th...
That's fantastic!
Metal Gear Solid 4 is an amazing title that no gamer should miss. I'll be happy to play through this one again, no problem.
I must admit though, I'd love them to add trophy support for Heavenly Sword. That's still my favorite PS3 game.
Make it happen...along with a sequel. HS deserves a sequel.
UPDATE: That was a cruel, cruel joke :(
April fools sucks.
I agree.
I picked up Lair on the cheap and I liked it. It just goes to show that it's up to the gamer to decide what they do or don't like.
How does one line about good controls translate into "full of praise"?
I have no interest in the game but for fans of the series that's really cool. I hope it turns out well.
