Good job on putting together that image. No, Tim Schafer isn't very handsome but the girl isn't worthy of him.
I had to make a call about what I thought gamers would actually read and I thought they would associate more with Blade Runner, which is why I chose that.
Also, as I said before, I am truly ashamed for forgetting to include any Asimov. I would have recommended either Foundation or I, Robot as entry points for gamers.
@Squatch83: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is on the list in the second section, where I list the books that have really broken into mainstream consciousness.
@Highatus: I've never read it but I'll certainly check into it.
@doctorstrange: I can't believe I forgot that! I think that's my biggest omission so far.
Great! I'm really happy about that. I've read these books over the past few years and I spent a week writing up this article. I'm happy it could serve some use to others and maybe help them find some new reads.
I doubt girl gamers would like a game any better because of that.
Mario with chainsaws? I'd try that.
Check out our other site, Gaming Enthusiast. We have around fifty staff members overall working on both sites. So, yes, we are well-versed in all manners of gaming this generation, previous generations, and future generations. (We can time travel.)
Can we focus on the content of this article, which discusses the SPECIFICS of the Wii U games, without getting into another major fight about fanboys and trolls, etc?
We chose to call the site Nintendo Enthusiast, not Nintendo Fanboy. There's a reason for the specific wording. We like Nintendo and we hope they do well. But, we try and run an intelligent site for Nintendo fans who want the truth, both good or bad.
Luckily, this time it happens to be good. ...
As I always say, we point out Nintendo's flaws without shame on Nintendo Enthusiast. But that doesn't mean we don't get excited when there's something worthy of getting excited about.
There's a reason we called the site Nintendo Enthusiast and not Nintendo Fanboys. We hate when people are blind to Nintendo's faults. And the truth of the matter is that we had a blast with ZombiU, we were itching to go beyond the demo with Pikmin 3 and Project P-100, and...
Western RPGs have completely dominated JRPGs lately. People would rather play Skyrim or Mass Effect than whatever they call Final Fantasy these days.
Because people used to be hyped like crazy for every FF release, wait-six-hours-in-line-for-mid night-launch style.
Nowadays it doesn't command nearly as much respect or excitement as it used to. Yeah, some of the games are good, some are less so. Gamers aren't nearly as hyped about Final Fantasy as they used to be.
Did you see this? http://n4g.com/news/1038295...
Yup, two Chameleon Twist games on this list.
This just gets me more excited for Halo 4.
You know how many times GTA clones themselves? I think Rockstar still has a thing or two to learn about open-world games.
Pretty much the entire Dreamcast library can make a list just by itself. Heck, the Dreamcast console hardware deserved more sales!
I guess I'll have to try the demo at least.

Oops, that's a bad omission. I'll stick it in right away. Thanks for reminding me.
That was an impressive read. Good job! I wonder why more people aren't discussing this one if it's as decent as you say it is.
