I think this is the start of decent sales for the system. If you look at the pipeline two months from now, Japanese gamers are getting Lost Planet, Gears of War, and Viva Pinata.
Gears of War looks better than ps3 launch games, and will help sell some gamers who are still under the belief that ps3 is vastly more powerful than 360.
And Viva Pinata is right up their alley for Japanese type game. Look at Animal Crossing and Seaman. I believe VP is the next thing for 36...
Yeah, that was totally unecessary. Splitfish sounds like a bunch of fanboys.
Cool premise. Still I was dissapointed in the 360 video trailer released recently. Game looks choppy, and is too much like prince of persia (I know it's by the same developer).
Even though I'm not a sony fan (own a 360) I must say Famitsu is an unreliable piece of crap these days. They give horrible games good reviews (Armor Core for PS3, DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball for 360, and SONIC), they're definitely biased towards Japanese type games. I'm sure motorstorm is alright.
The Viva Pinata kart racing game sounds like a 70% probability to me. Rare was working on Donkey Kong Racing for the Gamecube before they were bought out by Microsoft. Then the project was entirely scrapped. They'll probably use some of the level assets they created.
Definitely not isolated. Everything, minus the extremely rude customer representative, happened to my brother as well: had to speak to many supervisors, xbox was out of warranty, fax a copy of the receipt, etc. He didn't receive an angry customer representative, but did receive empty promises of them handling the situation. I love my 360 but the customer service at Microsoft really bites. They hire teenage kids who have no idea what they're talking about.
don't know what procedural synthesis means, but this game sounds like viva pinata to me
the ads are probably going to show up in the office level, with all the soda machines. Which I wouldn't mind...
But I have a feeling they will also start plastering this crap, like putting a ginormous ad on a wall.
I don't know how the rest of you feel about nade tagging, but I am hoping they fix that so that it won't be so easy to bum rush and always get a win if it's left to be 1 on 1 (even if it's a suicide) I find nade tagging incredibly cheap. I'm a good GOW player, but lately I haven't been playing this game much because of this.
I think the reason why the mart is attacking jin, is because of comments he made about GOW before. Specifically Jin was comparing GOW to Resistance, the number of enemies on screen, and how the 360 cant' handle more than 8 for online play. Just seems a little hypocritical for Jin to say now that GOW is one of the reasons that might lure him in purchasing one.
Is that really Jin Kazama, or did someone hack into his account to say those things? :0
good point Paul, I never thought of that.
There's not going to be another game that is going to touch GOW, unless they manage to sell atleast half a million. My guess is it's going to stay that way until Halo 3.
Thanks, I entered.
It's not fake, frankie from bungie already made a comment regarding this. And microsoft does own bungie.

talk to people?
Even though I love my 360, I don't think 2 million can be reached in December alone. My guess is the figure will more likely come out around 9 million by the end of the year. Does anyone have any videogame console sales trends for the month of December? Is it typically 2-3x the amount of sales of other months?
Everyone seems to compare Microsoft to the dreamcast era. But doesn't anyone else see history repeating itself with Sony emulating Nintendo from the Nintendo 64 era. Stubborn format adoption, huge loyal fanbase, harder to program for, 2 generations of domination lost because of overconfidence. I remember many nintendo fans, including me, switching over to the playstation because of the games, and I think this is what's going to happen in the future with the 360, I know I already have.
nice comeback starcraft, made me laugh
I agree they need to disregard the core pack. Microsoft shouldn't drop the price though, that'd be too premature... they're probably saving that for when PS3 drops in price. Right now in all the stores I'm at, that's all that is left from sales because everyone else is buying the premium pack.
