Why is it so hard to believe that Treyarch didnt plan to have single player from the beginning? Cod is a multiplayer game 10 times over than a single player game so it only makes sense for them to cut out the sp and REPLACE it with another mode
How did it ruin those games exactly? I was actually a big fan of the pvp in the older assassins creed games and wish they would bring it back (never played unity though), it was very well done to me.

When peope say multiplayer is "tacked on" isnt that good for their argument? If the multiplayer is "tacked on" that means it was an after thought and was probably done after the main single player experience was completed or very near it.
I dont understand whats wrong with having the option available? If you dont want to play multiplayer then dont play it. And a common argument I see is "it takes away from the single player because they use resources blah blah", thats just one big assumption, no? has a developer ever came out and actually said that having multiplayer in their game made the single player not as good?
@princess_pilfer But thats why matchmaking exists so it matches new players with new players and experienced players with experienced players. Of course though it wont work perfectly all the time and every now and then it'll get mixed up but that is to be expected, nothing is perfect.
This article says "Average players who have played for hundreds of hours can earn weapons and armor to make them untouchable to new players with superior skills". I dont think any recent pvp shooter does this or am I missing something?

Increasing the price of the console wouldn't do that as less people will by the console because it is more expensive.
