@yomfweeee Just sounds like youre trying your hardest to downplay xbox tbh. The answer is in your own words, why would they count downloads via gamepass as SALES? The process is; you subscribe to gamepass and you gain access to all the games available and download what you want.

I keep seeing people saying "xbox and switch players are begging for crossplay with ps4 because we need their userbase" or something along those lines. I dont think xbox or switch need help in that department lol. To me there are 0 downsides to crossplay and it would only serve to unite gamers on all platforms.

You can do it freely between pc, switch and xbox, but once you use youre account on ps4 you are locked out from ever going back to play with your account on any of those other platforms other than pc.
Jesus, how delusional can you be? This issue is nothing to do with microsoft or them apparently wanting crossplay. The issue is with Epic accounts and SONY locking them to their platform so you literally cannot use that account on any other platform other than pc, whereas you can freely transfer your progress between the Switch, Pc and Xbox with no issues.
