If they announce that at e3 2019 it could start a riot.
You mean the OS they bought and used their information monopoly to make successful? I suppose it’s possible they could do it again with stadia, but if it’s not successful almost right off the bat they will just give up.
@Razzer what are you talking about? TLOU runs just fine albeit at a unplayable framerate and some graphical glitching.

why do people just double down when they are wrong? Why are you linking naughty dog pr claims of how much power they estimate they are using? Do you not realize how small the team is working on this emulator and all the extra challenges of doing...
Thats not what the patent is describing at all, playstation games are coded for a specific hardware... what this details is how they will make sure things still work when they move to a new soc. I would suggest skipping the article and just reading the patent if you are interested. I think the author got caught up on the fact that they are describing how they will test parts of the applications to see if they can be run faster without failing, which is important since a handful of games crash...
many people on this forum have a very strange view that doesnt make any sense, I think it comes from entitlement. What they really want is for nintendo to just stop making their own hardware and make games for playstation. They dont care if nintendo is filling a void that sony and microsoft arent.
Nintendo is a much smaller company offering a product that doesnt directly compete, but sure that must be it. Anytime Nintendo does something differently it must just be greed and them being stubborn /sarcasm. When you buy nintendo you know you are getting great games you cant get anywhere else, and thats what they deliver more than anyone else. If they try to be sony or microsoft they will just fail, and if you dont like it stick with sony or microsoft.
@EddieNX
send them your resume, you got it all figured out. This might sound harsh, but you are showing the dunning-kruger effect in full force. It is hard to implement these things, especially when you are concerned with spam and countless other security issues.
People seem to think its trivial to set this sort of thing up, lets not forget how bad sony messed up in the early ps3 days. Nintendo doesnt even have the experience in this sort of thing that Sony had at the time, maybe its best they get help from microsoft.
ya its so easy to just copy psn or xbox live, nintendo should hire EddieNX to do it.
It goes quicker when there is a clear direction.
@Razzer a couple of guys got it working on pc using current hardware and drivers, not full speed but considering the size of the team, lack of any kind of driver support and the specs of the ps5; ps3 emulation is completely doable. Now the question is, does sony want to do it?
Because he wanted to.
This strategy reminds me of how it was done on pc, they wouldn’t just release expansions masked as sequels.
This article is the opposite of that... it reads like the author got too high.
Game journalism is such garbage these days.
How the heck do such stupid articles continuously get written about video games?
so click baity.
May as well, they are already destroying the game in an attempt to make it have wider appeal. Man I hate nomura gameplay.
Lol, if it was such a big issue people would be demanding it on their social media like crazy. Or at the very least Netflix would have done it themselves by now.
You think? It didn’t look all that impressive so far but it’s also not out yet.
