You know Blizzard, it's all about polishing the game, iterating, polishing some more and releasing the game as perfect as possible. It's kinda hateful, but the reward is worth the wait.
Take a look at other studios which release games in a rush. Results can some times be terrible. Then you look back at Blizzard again, and all you can say is: "THANK YOU, now get me some patch day."

It's the first time Blizzard shows the Monk's Dashing Strike skill in a screenshot. Looks awesome. Makes me want to create a Monk character.
I imagine it might cause some seizures when you add runes to that skill -- a huge flash spanning half the screen?
I recently read a review of the lich king premium collectible figure. Apparently, these aren't action figures perse. They don't have articulation points. They are bonafide statues with impressive texture and details.

It's not a matter of "WoW! It reached 725,000 Likes, OMG!". For those who are really following Blizzard's Diablo III news -- Blizzard is releasing a new gameplay screenshot and a concept art every 25,000 Likes. The goal is to reach a million Likes on Facebook.
Counting the moment the challenge started up to the million mark milestone, Blizzard will be releasing a total of 18 updates.

That's definitely one heck of a gift to give to someone you love (friend, or family). Far as I know, only one has been put in auction before, so that makes two statues on non-employees' hands. Extremely rare to find.

There are so many things we still don't know about Diablo III. This coming BlizzCon might shed some info. Apparently beta testing will start by the end of 2011, or earlier.
The plan is to ship Diablo III in 2011, but over 90% it ships 2012 -- according to Frank Pearce (Blizzard Executive VP)
StarCraft: Brood War will be missed by many, but StarCraft II is the new kid on the block and has been built from the ground up as a eSport game with new features and upcoming content updates.
StarCraft: Ghost was never cancelled. The word used was Postponed which means: "to put off to a later time".
A cancelled game is done. It never gets released. An example, Warcraft Adventures.
StarCraft: Ghost on the other hand will be on sale at a later time in the future with no ETA.
I'd love to hear about StarCraft: Ghost. It's been mentioned a few times the past 3 years by Rob Pardo.

Well, considering Sam Raimi is the director of Oz and Warcraft, I think it's safe bet Mila is gonna score a role. I mean, she is gonna bring it up to him ... face to face.
It would be awesome if they ported the game to Xbox 360, Wii and PS3. However, the patching process is what really halts the execution. How does Blizzard patch the game on consoles. Do all PS3/Xbox 360 owners have an active internet connection?
Update: Just after the Q4 2010 Conference, Rob Pardo and Mike Morhaime attended the AIAS 2011 Interactive Awards. In contrast with what Thomas Tippl and Mike Morhaime said or ... didn't say, Rob Pardo told Kotaku Blizzard's goal for Diablo III is 2011. However, they will go for quality first. That's why they didn't commit to this year's release at the 2011 financial outlook.
So there's a shot at a 2011 release unless beta test and other factors clock ...
On February 10, 2010 -- during the Q4 2009 conference -- Mike Morhaime announced StarCraft II beta would launch within a week. By February 17th, StarCraft II beta launched.
Now Morhaime says details of Diablo III beta will surface on the next conference. Next Conference will be the Q1 2011 which is approximately around May 7th 2011 (considering last year's took place around that date).

There's actually a upcoming novel by Christie Golden (expected on September 2011) titled World of Warcraft: Thrall, Twilight of the Dragons.
Naming the TCG expansion the same way seems to rotate around an orchestrated event looming in the horizon with Deathwing and Thrall involved.
