They kinda blew their whistles too loud. What was all that call to arms against the oppression of closed console monopoly, and PC and Console gamers uniting --- I seriously thought they would launch a pc/console hybrid architecture open to all console developers without the limitations of Wii/Xbox 360/PS3 and the multiplayer limitations of PSN/Steam/LIVE/Origin allowing game developers to take care of their own servers and ---- well that whistle did went off way too far to make us thing some...

I think Razer SwitchBlade is closer to reality than not. Razer announced a new keyboard that uses SwitchBlade technology (sans the Windows 7, and monitor).

The Star Wars: The Old Republic Keyboard uses the same customizable LCD buttons feature of SwitchBlade.

As for the comment about Atom CPUs, well, it's not a computer perse. It should rival Nint...

Some Razer fans are speculating it is the SwitchBlade. Others think it is a Battlefield or DOTA2 product. Others seem to connect a reference to the seven deadly sins with FMA (Full Metal Alchemist). We'll find out soon enough.

It would be awesome to see several Diablo III unique and epic weapons come to live as replicas. Azurewrath comes to mind.

I couldn't remember a 2000 PC configuration, so went for the one I was familiar with. The G4. I got a PC by 2003, and have had about 3-4 computers after that as game requirements evolve.

It's cheaper to buy the computer parts and build it yourself.

Back to topic, among the changes done to the game there were charms in Diablo II. Now there are none after they removed the Talisman. Skill points are default, however runes take care of that aspect much b...

Diablo II was shipped in 2000. Technology has grown a lot since then. Back then I had a Mac G4 400MHz with a mere 256MB RAM Max, 10GB hard drive.

Computers now support over 8GB RAM, 2TB hard drives, speeds up to 3.2GHz (overclocked). Computers then weren't much of a beast as now. Games continue to grow in size and complexity.

Are you saying game developers should remain unchanged in comparison with technology and social networking growth? Sprites instead...

There won't be a real-cash auction in beta. Only gold-based auction as per the FAQ:

Will the Diablo III Auction House be available in the beta?

Yes, we plan on testing the functionality of the Diablo III gold-based auction house during the beta phase.

Can't wait to start playing Diablo III beta. After so many years, we are SO close, SO close.

The auction house (real currency) is going to be a shocker for a lot of people, but ultimately Blizzard is empowering players and depowering the third-party sites that have dedicated to fraudulent transactions, identity theft, malware, bots, and all kinds of evil.

StarCraft II took nigh 8 years. They started development a month after Warcraft III: Frozen Throne shipped (July 2003). By that coin, Diablo III development cycle has the same treatment as the other games.

They are nigh done however. Fret not. Diablo III beta will start in the next couple of weeks or less. Morhaime said it would start on Q3 2011.

The next Activision Blizzard Q2 2011 Financial conference call is on August 3, so if beta hasnt started by then,...

Dark Riders sounds like a fun plot. We'll finally find out who the Dark Riders are and why the Scythe is important to them.

I can see Terran and Protoss units becoming popular, but is a Zerg Mega Bloks possible?

The monster faction sounds interesting. Wonder what kind of loot cards (pets and mounts) they plan to release.

It's been so long since a Diablo product came out, and especially a comic book. Last one was Diablo: Tales of Sanctuary (2001) by Dark Horse.

Fans really need more Diablo mini-series. The lore is ripe to expand in this format. So many ground to cover.

Hopefully the novel reveals how Malfurion and Tyrande have somewhat regained trust over Maiev Shadowsong to assign her this important investigation considering Maiev let Tyrande rot in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne in Silverpine Forest telling Malfurion that Tyrande had perished.

No need to bonk people. All of us are fans of Blizzard games in one form or another. I have all the Blizzard games and collector's editions except for the Classic Gameboy, GameCube and Nintendo ones.

All novels of all three universes, the comic books, RPGs, and mangas. Yet I don't have all the merchandise. Other people are hardcore and have all kinds of merchandise.

I also played SC2 for a few weeks, and now only do WoW dailies. One plays when possi...

We will find out today at 1:30 - 2:30pm. Blizzard's Chris Metzen, and Cory Jones (Cryptozoic) will have a panel about Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft licensed products. Cory's presence there means if the rumor is true it will be confirmed or debunked today.

Yea there wont be hard copies, it's digital for most mobile devices (Not just iTunes). Time will tell if they decide to go printing.

As a WoW player myself since beta 2004, this one made me crack a laughter. I wasn't expecting it, considering Spider-man is the king of jokes in the marvel universe -- sorry Deadpool.
