Great article. Keep them coming.
Wow, it dethroned World of Warcraft, Sims and Prototype.
My money on Queen Azshara and Cho'gall.
There is plenty of lore behind this isle, introduced in the World of Warcraft RPG: Lands of Mystery, a licensed book published by White Wolf publishing, and co-created with the Blizzard Entertainment's creative team.
Love the continuity with the mentions of what happened at the Violet Citadel during the Secrets of Ulduar cinematics. Garrosh and Varian clashed, and Rhonin separated them.
The grudge continues and the tension can be felt between both factions. All out war is eventually going to explode in their faces very soon.
actually Blizzard trademarked long ago the three titles for the StarCraft II expansion episodes:
Starcraft II: Wing of Liberty
Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm
Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void
It is not an usual game name. The word is very impacting. It could be the battle.net new name for the game launcher/platform (think Steam). Or a new WoW expansion dealing with the sundering (Maelstrom). Or a one of the two unannounced games.
Can't think of anything else that fits that, besides Diablo III. The explosion of the Worldstone was a cataclysm that destroyed Mt. Arreat.
Wonder if its a new game, or a game platform like battle.net
lol, not exactly a shame but not all celebs talk about what they do with their spare time, or are too strict and silent on what they do. So when a celeb says "I play this game" -- it is big, and make players go "OMG" he plays the same game I play.
Very nice quests. You have to fight the Kvaldir and their Kraken. As well as new Cult of the Damned areas west of the Tournament Grounds.
It looks like a very fun battleground. You can catapult yourself above the enemy's wall, or parachute from a gunship into the enemy's keep.
Rock on. Many celebs are coming out of the closet and admitting they are WoW addicts. One has to question if they do it because they are gamers or because it is a great way to reach 11.5 million fans worldwide. Great advertising for singers and actors.
It is always hard to admit where one has done wrong, but it is something noble to acknowledge it. Let's see if they get to enhance the service and gameplay for those who are caught in the turmoil from the very beginning.
Definitely Activision's way to monetize every aspect of StarCraft II. All LAN players, local tournaments and such will now have to use Battle.net where they will no doubt have to load ad banners.
Hope its not too hard to learn all this tech.
Browder and Sigaty rock. Can't get enough of their interviews. They so know a lot of what they are doing and the direction they want StarCraft II to go.
Aww, no LAN? That sounds a lot like Activision's way to secure monetization thru the Battle.net gateway.
drools, nice screenshots. I like the zerg and protoss units. They have been polishing alright.
Cool. I want beta even more. ahh, the agonizing wait.
I think that's a good service for those who feel their faction is too underpopulated. Might help even out things, but it represents also an issue if everyone starts siding the other faction, and underpopulates as consequence the other faction.
So I don't quitely have a settled decision whether it is good or bad. I guess all I have to do is wait and watch what happens over time.
However, I wonder if they keep a copy of your former faction in case you decide your dec...
