Incidentally, every chip on the xbox is identified, but there is one chip on the PS4 that no one knows what is for, so if there is a console that can claim to have some "secret sauce", its not the X1

Theoretically speaking (which is not theoretical at all) the ps4 has a higher peak output.
It has been confirmed by AMD (WHo better?) and the first batches of games. What else do you want? i mean really, what else?

Even so, the consoles (the real ones) win because of customization.
These boxes still have to run windows or linux, still have to be programmed generically.
The consoles are single minded pcs (well, the PS4 anyways) so they still have that edge.

The problem isnt install base. It never was. The original Wii sold a lot, but still there werent lots of 3rd party games on it.

This gen wont see much hacking as others had and the reason is a simple one:
Android/IOS and better security.
You see, back in the day, consoles were the only capable hardware other than PCs that could so shit and hackers (the real ones, the one that do it for the challenge, for the fun of it) loved to open up these boxes to have some more extra courts to play ball.
These days, you just have to buy a decent droid phone/tablet and youre set...

bro, the problem is that with todays infraestructure, no matter how fast those super servers can calculate and render shit, they cant deliver those results to the X1s around the world in a timely manner to ensure a smooth experience without lag, with 1080p@60fps.

My friend, the problem isnt the cloud; people know that the coud is nothing but a bunch of super fast computers.
Everybody gets that.
What me and others question is its applicability to improve performance in games.
The cloud by its very nature (internet and all) HAS LATENCY.
Unless every computer in the world is in the same network as the super servers that make up MS's cloud (and even then...) there is no way they can use those ...
