I don't know what the hell Microsoft was thinking with the idiotic gamerscore.
Honestly, did they really think gamers would sit around talking about who has the bigger number?
I don't think people really care that Microsoft ripped off Sony or Insomniac's Skill Points. It is that they did such horrible job at it and really seem to failed to grasp the concept and instead saw it as simply something to help up their attach rates.
Please. Don't fall for the fanboy site's spin.
He was talking about the Wii being more of a pick up and play console than the PS3 with its giant Blu-Ray drive, harddrive, and other highend multimedia features.
Yes, of course that is exactly what he was talking about:
“When you have a game console like the Playstation that has a hard drive, a blu-ray reader, that connects to the internet, and does a billion other things, and that has a “hard” in terms of games that really is extraordinary, well, I think at some point people make the difference between something that is like a toy, a funny boardgame like the Wii, and a real… well a real multimedia center with an extremely strong vide...
"Sony needs to spend more on its marketing."
The PS3 is the third fastest selling console in history. Is outselling the Wii 2 to 1 in Japan right now. Dumped the 360 into last place in both Japan and Europe a long time ago. And is just a few hundred thousand consoles away from dumping the 360 into last place in worldwide installed base.
All while the PS3 has been the most expensive console in history and still is 300 dollars, the launch price of the...
Now? Sony and Nintendo have been using sold to mean sold and shipped to mean shipped since 2006.
It's only Microsoft who lies about shipped being actual sales.
Oh god...
Nintendo should be more worried about their falling Wii sales.
Sony started work on their motion controls way back in the PS2 days. The PS2 had its Eye Toy motion controls long before the Wii was released. And the Move also goes all the way back to pre-Wii days, it just too longer for Sony to finish perfecting. From the constant talk of how incredibly accurate Move is and how it is what the Wiimote should have been, it clearly paid off for all those years of work for Sony.
Call of Duty?
LOL! Kiddie arcade shooters with massive amounts of auto-aim so the little lamers can hit stuff.
Dedicated, P2P. Don't give a F.
Uncharted 2 is single player game with a nice little bonus multiplayer element.
But hey, it's understandable that people who are being forced to pay 60 dollars a year for laggy P2P online gaming feel the need to lash out and direct their anger somewhere.
"You've earned a Skill Point"
"You've unlocked an achievement"
Yep, Microsoft TOTALLY didn't ripoff Sony's Skill Points...
LOL...
What is unbelievable about Microsoft's ripoff of Sony's Skill Point is they either didn't grasp it or were such non-gamers they saw it as nothing more than something to use to get people to buy junk games to up the attach rate.
Skill ...

Home is a massive online gaming community with some 20 million users. It is constantly getting new content every week from both Sony and game developers and publishers.
The massive success of Home generates much anger from owners of competing consoles and causes them to troll Home articles with comments like:
"What
Home? What's that?"
Locus_Star:
"We certainly encourage you all to view this content not just in terms of what is immediately available at launch but also consider what this could mean in terms of future possibilities. As with many things in Home, development is ongoing…"
In other words streaming from local drives is coming.
"but I would say more half of all psn users are looking for this "
LOL...no.
"Cross Game Chat "
LOL - Xbox fanboys are still desperately trying to hype this silly little feature to try to justify their crappy 60 dollar a year laggy P2P online service.
"Multiple account sign-in capabilities on a system-wide level"
Meh.
"Automatic installs for downloads and revamped Download Queue"
Meh.

"On paper, Microsoft’s Kinect is the revolutionary product that will propel the video game industry into a new age"
Huh?
'On paper' Kinetic is a copy of Sony's last gen Eye Toy motion control tech...
Sony has an epic success with Home on their hands.
I only first saw Home in person for the first time recently and was absolutely astonished at how huge it is. People were everywhere. Running around, sitting chatting groups, playing games, buying stuff, dancing together, watching movies and trailers, etc.
Sony has to be racking in huge amounts of cash off the Home items. Just about everyone was decked out in custom outfits that sell for 1-5 bucks or so each. ...
"I was actually surprised to see BD win considering Sony's history with attempting to create proprietary media formats."
Oh god...
My god. There are still people trying to spread lies about Killzone 2?
Killzone 2 Trailer vs Killzone 2 real time PS3:

And that footage is Killzone 2 pre-release code. Not even the better looking final code.
Deal with it. GG surpassed their target render.
