At risk of being flamed by PS3 fanboys, Valve just don't need the PS3 community. While many will be quick to disagree that any developer should want to expand their fanbase, Valve has always and will always thrive best on the PC.

With the source Engine being open to all freelance developers out there, it truly expands on their games. People create some fantastic mods with the Source Engine available to them and can also get creative developers on the pay roll at Valve.

Imported through Movetyme for £27.

Well worth it, it looks and plays fantastic.

Why defend something that doesn't need defending?

The old stereotype of the greasy virgin gamer in his mothers basement, just isn't as true as it was years back.

I'll admit, I play a lot of games. I love nothing more then coming home from work, kicking my work gear off and cranking a few hours on my latest purchase (Demon's Souls is eating my time away).

But at weekends, I love seeing my girlfriend, the only time I get with while shes at Uni. I'm a...

Shame you didn't like it, I thought it was a blast. A 256 player game with no lag, get your squad working together and its so very, very fun.

I know people complained about the graphics but considering the gameplay and the amount of people involved in a single online game, you can see the sacrifice of graphics for the gameplay itself.

Valve Time got BioWare too!

But really, more people need to play this. My first playthrough alone was 60 hours. It can be done in 35 but theres so many secrets to discover. The atmosphere it creates makes the game so immersive you want to explore every nook and cranny.

Everything about the game works well. The online features are superb, the combat is brutal, challenging and satisfying. Just do yourself a favour and buy this wonderful game.

Just because they make it look authentic and realistic doesn't mean it is. Its a simple plot.

Seeing your character disguise himself as a terrorist and shoot up an airport made to look 'real' isn't going to make me think "Wow, I bet this happens all the time". There's plenty of military fiction done with such authenticity to appear real because that appeals to many peoples taste.

Its a PLOT for a game, one that could easily have come Tom Clancy.

Oh yeah, I forgot you mentioned GTAIV, which really, is far worse when you compare the violence. You can just shoot anyone, beat anyone, steal any car, go on insane rampages.

And your argument for that being ok is "You complete missions!"
But MW2's objective isn't to slaughter as many people as possible as a terrorist, is it?

I can't believe you would think this is more violent over GTA!

First, you should really brush up on your films.

Second, I honestly don't see the big deal with it. Yeah, sure, terrorists are the thing to hate right now and rightfully so. But that doesn't mean this should cause outrage.

I asked a friend who bought this game what its like and when asked about this level he said it was 'ok'. Yes, thats right, its ok because its simply a game.

Really though, you are right, you play the hero of the peice which is wh...

Like when I played Fat Princess, I ran down the street trying to force feed women cake and then carry them back to my house and battle off anyone trying to rescue her....

A game is released that is violent (with an 18 rating no doubt) and immediately Fox News thinks kids will be 'influenced' by it. If ANY child played MW2 and wanted to become a terrorist because they thought it was 'awesome', that child has some serious issues as it is, never mind that the parents are allowing ...

What the hell is Modern Warfare 2!?

My biggest annoyance with this game was the price. If I could get this game for under £30 at a supermarket, I definately would. May have to go into town tonight and investigated.

Yeah, this is true, I just thought the idea of IW & Activision throwing him in some dank cell where he'll get anal raided for the rest of his life for trying to steal from them quite hilarious.

"Steal from US will you!? GET HIM BILLY!"

Main reason I won't be getting MW2 is the price. I can't justify paying that much for game that hasn't improved much from its predacessor.

I buy my games online, I don't like paying full retail for a game so I usually get them £10 cheaper. Even online, MW2 is £40 or over which is still a rip off in my opinion.

I know many will probably say "you haven't played it! How can you make a judgement on it if you haven't played it!?" which would be ri...

This is a sweet game. Yes, it can get frustrating but not enough to make me turn away from it. When you die its frustrating because you realize your own stupidity, plain and simple.

Demon's Souls is a challenge, a very rewarding one though. There is so much to find and unlock and while I admit some of the bosses are quite easy, getting through an entire level gives so much satisfaction you rarely get from completing an entire game.

If people turn away from this game ...
