I have yet to experience anything in 3D. I need to get my ass to the cinema and watch something just see what all the fuss is about.
Then wait a few years until 3D TV's are nice and affordable!
LANGUAGE OF THE MAD!
Mines pre-ordered. Seriously can't wait for this game. Usually when a new game is due to come out I might pre-order if it tickles my interest or pick it up later but GoW is a beast of a game the deserves a day one purchase
I think SM will do a new IP. Maybe one of more GoW on the PSP but after that I'd be interested to see what new games they could bring to the table.
Was Adam Puhl the lead combat designer on the God of War I&II? I'm pretty sure he was on two.
Anyway, release it! Please! Release it NOW!
You really can't help but laugh at some of the violence in the GoW games.
The night the E3 '09 demo went up on the PSN me and a friend downloaded it and just laughed at the brutality of some of it.
Ah, fair enough. I wasn't trying to put the game down or anything, I just figured if there are negatives for the game then wouldn't that affect the overall score?
But hey, a 10's a 10.
* Summons are kind of weak
* Lightning is a boring character
* First half may be too linear for some
Surely this would knock off some points, right?
I went through 3 of these babies. Such a great console and so many gaming memories. Might even get my PS2 out today and play some Manhunt for old times sake.
Tell you what. Go watch the developer interviews or the making of God of War II if you have of God of War Collection. Or hell, just watch 'em on youtube.
If you do, you'll see the sheer time that had to go into the God of War games. Watch them and then look at what they've done with God of War 3. Titans! Moving around and Kratos is on the back them, brutally fighting enemies. This is stunning stuff! Enviroments costantly shifting. The sheer scale of the game is stunning and I don...
because every single God of War game has done everything it was suppose to do and it did it all incredibly well. For hack 'n slash fans, its quite simply the best it gets.
God of War 3 will be no different. It will be crafted to perfection by the Sony Santa Monica, a team that has shown with each title that their skills are not to be doubted.
lol I was sat on the bus going into work and picked one of these up. I laughed really loud because of it!
I know! Every article I read make me want the game so much more.
No worries Evan, my copy is pre-ordered.
When I rarely go to buy in the shops (I usually order online) I find it fun to ask the people serving me what games they enjoy or would reccommend. Its not that I'd buy their recommendation, I just like to hear other opinions. It was fun to have all the staff get into an argument over AvP though lol.
I can understand why some people would be shocked at the changes Sony have gone through since their 'glory days'. I was shocked, incredibly shocked infact, when I picked up my PS3 back in '07 and began getting back into gaming and I was shocked to find that PS3 was 'the underdog' and often the butt of every fanboy joke going.
Sony may not be where they were in the PS2 days but their still one of the biggest names in the gaming industry today. Also, their exclusive games are brill...
"A good example is this one huge creature who grabs Kratos and, if we showed that at speed, you would just never even see him. So we say, ‘ok slow the camera down, zoom in—there he is! Doesn’t he look cool?!’ and then we ramp the speed back up and put you back into the action. It’s a pacing thing."
I love this about all the God of War games. In huge boss fights when Kratos is just plunging at an enemy with both swords held and everything slows down for a second and you ...
Yeah its not that big a deal but you can't blame people for being a little annoyed at it. I was personally looking forward to getting home from work and playing some Heavy Rain but I can't. Has it angered me to the point that turn green and eat my PS3? No, there are other things I can do but I still have the right to feel slightly annoyed about it.
I think Heavy Rain was a success. I don't know in terms of sales because I don't really follow that but as an 'emotional experience' that developers were aiming for then, yes, the game is a success.
Its not your typical game where you sit down and maybe shoot things for half an hour or solve puzzles, its interaction, choices and thought provoking scenarios in continously winding and twisting tale of peoples lifes and how much they've been affected by 'The Oragami Killer' that is ...
Think it'll just be God of War 3 for me. That'll take me through April for Red Dead Redemption.
Quote from the article.
"I’m honestly surprised that they don’t start charging people more for these types of games."
SHHH, don't say that! They're expensive enough as it is, don't go giving devs out there ideas!
