I'm playing RDR on my PS3 and Alan Wake on my 360 and I really don't see what the big deal is. Doesn't take anything away from the game and they both look great to me.
Ha! The fact its set in 1911 so everyones common pass time is to drink anyway. Just because this character drinks and is also Irish is a cause for outrage?

Really enjoying this game for far. Into Part 4 at the moment. I actually don't play it in the day time because I feel it ruins the experience. Wait til the sun goes down and lights go off.
The combat is great as well. Reminds me of RE4.
I got my copy of this yesterday and managed to get in a good seven hours gameplay. I really enjoyed. Yeah, its like GTA but I liked the vast open world you have to explore. It was the little moments that did it for me though. Like having my first duel, gunning the guy down and noticing all the shops close one by one as their owners stepped out to observe what had just happened. I think its the parents choice. If they feel their kids can handle it then thats their choice.
Depends on the age though. I, for instance, wouldn't give a copy of a GTA game to a little kid. But I do remember my older brother buying Manhunt for me when I was 15 and I had a grand old time playing it. Teenagers, sure, but young kids? Let them keep their childhood innocence and put Thomas the Tank Engine on for them.
No Demon's Souls for PS3? Shame on you.
I can enjoy a CoD on occasion if I just wanna switch off and shoot a few people for abit. Thrown in a zombie mode with 'Black Ops' and I just might consider this.
I looked at some screenshots of RDR on both formats. To me, there isn't much difference. I don't understand all the graphical terms and what not. To me, it looks like a great game. Graphically it looks fantastic when you consider the sheer size and scale of the game.
Many playthroughs of this game. Loved it. Will be playing it again when my Black Phantom Edition arrives for the European release.
On the subject of the article, you tried. Its a game of learning from your mistakes and sadly 90 minutes just wouldn't do the game justice of exactly how much there is to do in Demon's Souls.
I have two questions about 'the world of Red Dead Redemption'.

Unforgiven, High Plains Drifter and Once Upon A Time in the West to name a few. This game is gonna be awesome.

Oh well, I don't think it matters. I pre-ordered this game, I think it looks good. Don't really care what resolution it will play at or any of that crap, it looks like a decent survival horror that has been likened to RE4 in some aspects of the combat. Can't go wrong, really.

Well after reading through a few reviews I figured 'what the hell' and pre-ordered this. Looks very good and should keep me in my chair over a nice relaxing in.
What did you find most dissapointing about it?
Yes, try it again. It may take a few episodes because things unfold very slowly. It doesn't try and shock you with big twists or anything, its just a great continuous story through all 5 seasons. Definately watch it.
