Exactly. Look at everyone's reaction for GameSpot review. IGN, a site that in the past has made people question the sites integrity, is suddenly fine because it gave a game people are looking forward to a good score.
Don't get me wrong, I'm getting this game, have had it on pre-order since January. This is nothing against the game. I'm saying that how can you only trust a questionable site when they do things you like? Does this review not seem questionable wh...
Ha. I'll be buying this game but everyone's reactions are hilarious. If they'd given this game anything lower than a 9 or 10, you would all get upset and go on about how crap IGN were.
Suddenly they give a game you're excited for a good score and now their credibility is back?
I was fairly optimistic about the new console reveal. I was stuck in work but when I got home, I avoided any news, made some food, sat down and got ready to see Microsoft impress me.
Instead it was TV and sport. For 40 minutes 20 minutes spent on a few games and other such things. 8gn of ram thrown at you and now lets flick the screen around. Wholly unimpressed.
It's looking more and more that I'll just use my money for a new console to just upgrade m...
I though the look was excellent. You say 'kiddie' I would say innocent. Most games that claim to be mature titles end up being for kids anyway. An example is Gears of War. That claims to be a mature title for 18+ but kids love it. It's a kids idea of mature.
Ni No Kuni has the innocence of childhood seeped over it. It lacks the modern day cynicism we see in games and films and it reminds you of what its like to be a kid again and that feeling of adventure.
Yup, if you haven't already then buy this game. I personally think the combat could of been better (AI is awful) but it's certainly no deal breaker. Get it, especially if you like Ghibli films.
That is one MESSED up kid.
I disagree that feminism is a great idea. That sounds terrible. It is a great idea and it worked wonders. No longer is it seen that a man has to be the 'head of a household' nor head authority figure. Look around and you see men and women in the western world are on such an even keel that you can only be amazed by how far we've come.
That's why I think modern day feminism is so horrible. A lot of what I see are feminists that attack gender rights groups, attac...
I'm tired of stupid stuff being made into some kind of moral crusade by white nights and feminists.
So you think this is sexist? The games industry is pretty big now. Go play something that isn't like this and stop complaining. Because by saying it's sexist and complaining, you're essentially saying it should be changed and shouldn't exist in it's currently form. You're standing in the way of someones vision and creativity because you're mildl...
Yes we saw some games. Games that didn't particularly blow me away. I think Killzone is ok but I wouldn't buy a brand new console to play it immediately, same goes for the new inFamous game. Other games that will be on older consoles I'll just buy on older consoles or PC as there isn't going to be anything significantly different with the games.
If you guys are gonna high five each other over great the PS4 is even though we've see a controller and few char...
Personally, I'd wait until both consoles were released and on the market with games and such.
What Sony has shown so far is not enough for me to base my decision on buying a PS4 and we're expecting to see the Xbox this month. Once they are released and a year has passed, we'll see which is worth buying first.
Have never, ever, agreed with the term 'Gamer Girl'. It's something that puts a clear divide between men that play games and women that play games. In a time when we should all be striving for equality, it's stuff like this that isn't needed.
If you're online and you're in a competitive game, it doesn't matter if your opponent is a male or female, they are fair game and just your competition. Same in co-op. If you team members play well, sex s...
I agree with a post ^^^up there somewhere. New IP's please. Try something different. A new approach.
I get increasingly worried about Next-Gen because I get the feeling a lot of what we'll see are just going to be sequels. We've seen several already.
I want new things! Different things! Something that feels fresh and not just something that is safe.
I love the multiplayer but the PVP in Dark Souls was garbage. Not the idea or the fights, the lag made it unbearable to play. I even had a better connection with Demon's Souls and I had that game imported. I'm glad they're going back to servers because 9/10 you were in a fight was laggy.
Sit down, shut up, stop whining should just be directed at everyone that ever whines about anything.
The Elder Scrolls games have never really grabbed me the way some it has for some people. I got Skyrim and was tired of it some 20 hours in and I hear about people that are still pouring time into it.
I like Fallout but I remember playing Fallout 3 and a number of my quests got bugged and I never had the heart to go back to it.
I can see why people love the idea of this open world game where you pick a direction and see what you find out there. But I just thi...
Why were people giving him money because he made them believe he was in a wheelchair?
"Hey I'm in a wheelchair and I play Blizzard games"
"Oh ok, here's £5"
Man, I feel sorry for your friend. I was there. When I was in High School, my parents had very ugly alcohol fueled arguments that often turned violent. When they weren't arguing, they weren't there at all. It was a horrible time and it means I can no longer think of games like Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness and Final Fantasy X because they remind me of that period in my life when I used to sit in my room and listen to them.
I know its difficult to stay in touch or e...
You are correct. Because if you read what I typed 'any kind of fanboyism is frustrating to witness on here' you'll I said just fanboys in general. And the current worst offender on this site are the Sony fanboys.
Since when did people start defending fanboys? They're terrible.
Yes, I was here with the backlash against the PS3. I saw all that and because of that, the Sony fanboys seem to think that 'this was a long time coming', that they can jump on any sort of negativity aimed at Sony, regardless of what has been said.
I never said it's ALWAYS been a pro-Sony community, but as of right now and the past couple of years, it has been. If people are excited about the PS4 then...awesome. That's great and that's not what bothers me. ...
People jumping to the defenses again.
Let me get this out the way. I am happy TLoU is getting some great scores. I really am. It's a game I've been looking forward too and am excietd to play.
The point I am trying to make is everyone suddenly loves IGN even though many, many gamers have complained about the site. It was great to see people making a big deal out of the Edge score. Edge can be very harsh in their reviews, I get the magazine regularly an...
