agreed...I've said it numerous times these clowns are not industry insiders...just hit and miss poop stirrers....they spread FUD and I knew something fishy was up yesterday when our buddy kept coming out with defending the firings/layoffs when his previous posts were so damaging...So can our news come from credible sources now?
Of course they dont want it..it will ruin them and if people adopted it, they would go the way of the video rental stores....all that is left is redbox for the most part. Digital is the future. I do get peoples reluctance to adopt it, but music has gone that way and video is on its way too...just a matter of time before video games do the same.
FIOS now has redbox on demand....its just a matter of time.
Doom and Gloom....Sony and MS are doing fine...insider needs to get a real job.
I am not believing any of it. They needed to trim $$'s off so they will hire, young, but talented programmers and designers etc for less money. They let the ones that commanded big $$'s go...They can then hire 2-3 people for a position that cost them for one. That is exactly what happens in business all around the world.
I dont think Sony is going anywhere, nor do I think MS is selling off the X1. But enough with the doom and gloom. Each company is doing fine with...
Well...PC is always full of cheaters.
Hmmm you put a $ sign in place of the "S" in Microsoft..lets try that with the PS4...oh wait, I cant... they dont have any money
I couldnt help but notice who are the top 10 biggest facebook investors.

Rumors have it at $250 low and $300 high end...but there are the extras you need to make it work...move controllers and the eye and if a game is not included add the cost of a game....I cant see paying for an add on that costs as much as the system. More likely a system needs to be designed around VR tech for the avg consumer to bite as long as its cost effective and not crapware.
Nice !! Good Games too :D
I am not expecting too much at Pax East as E3 is 2 months away.
Kinect would just be a piece of the puzzle on the X1....on the PS4, the Problem with project Morpheus is cost at $250+60(move controllers)+$60(eye)+$60(game )=$430 total, it just priced itself out of the ballpark for most people other than the have to have techies. I think the tech is awesome, but rather to expensive for most people. I think a console based around this tech is in the next 10 years..meaning after the PS4's and X1's life cycle.
I think its great that you will be able to self publish on each platform...that being said, there should be requirements for putting it out on a platform...isnt the marketplace already flooded with crapware? If one more indie dev complains of you have to have a plan when you release on consoles..then get a publisher to do so. Thats what being independent means...do it yourself..follow the rules.
The way the service should work is, if I put a disc in from my PS3 and its available on the Now, I should be able to play it for free. Thats how I would like it to work. But I think I am grasping at straws.
Price drives the consumer. If the Sony VR headset is going to cost 250(low end price)+60 for 2 move controllers+60 for the eye +60 for 1 game, that now brings the cost to more than I paid for the console. I get the fact the tech is new, but something that costs more than the actual console, I am not sure I would even purchase it now.
@dawnofdon...I truly believe this is why they went down the path they have..Digital Foundry has even said they dont know what the other chipsets are on the X1. To me its in plain site now.
What it all basically means is the Hardware was built around this and now the software to drive this hardware is seeing the light of day finally..well almost. Does it make it more powerful than the PS4. No, it doesnt on brute force standards, but more of a level playing field.
Please take a look here and read up on DX12 and this article on Tiled Resources. This is one of the reasons MS went with it. http://graphinesoftware.com...
We wont see any games that use this till later this year and early next year, I am still convinced that the X1 was released 1 year ahead of schedule and we are all beta testers
This and coupled with the granite SDK will finally show why they went with ESRAM and why they set up the hardware the way it is. Lots of unknowns about the chips et if anyone bother to read the Digital Foundry breakdown. Personally, to me, this is how the final build of the X1 hardware and software was supposed to be. MS launched a year early to compete with Sony. So I guess we are no longer beta testers.
To me it means April release date and nothing more.
Wow..to me..that's downright expensive. .250-300 plus the eye..that's almost as much as I paid for the system. Hate to say it, but I will pass on this unless the price is that with the eye.
I'm sorry but I dont see it...Looks like fuzzy picture to me. THis thought comes to mind for me: if you stare at clouds enough you start to see images.
