Gaming Bolt at its finest again I see.
Tons of MAJOR Hardware and software devs seem to be praising the new SDK's and DX12 and the performance gains be it PC or X1 and then this...well I guess we should start seeing more doom and gloom articles for MS and Sony soon too .
This was not a PR conference but a Dev build conference showing them what DX12 can do
I am just saying..every video or pic I have seen with morpheus being demoed they have move controllers and the camera to track you.

I still say the reason we are where we are is because they rushed it out 1 full year ahead of schedule. X1 will hit its groove as will the PS4. I am happy with the direction they are going and look forward to what they will bring to the table.
Well we can agree to disagree. For those who are saying its a mistake to include it, we can disagree. Its included because it will be in every household that buys an xbox one therefore making sure its not an optional accessory that history has shown us the add-ons like this dont sell well.
A good example would be Sony's VR headset. You now need to purchase 2 move controllers and the Eye to use it....so you are all going to pay over $400 for an accessory to the PS4 shou...
Personally, I dont care about backwards compatibility. I have my 360 and PS3 in the same entertainment cabinet. If I want to play a game from the older systems, I just fire them up.
But as the article mentions..no, its never too late if it ever comes. Any way to rid the living room of extra boxes is a plus no matter what system. If its true emulation, meaning, I just slip my 360 disc into the system, then I am all for it..but if I have to pay to play for games I already ow...
I agree..X1 was rushed out 1 year ahead of schedule. This is how it all should have been in the first place. next 8+ months will see the X1 getting into its true grove.
Everything that was said with the Granite SDK/Tiled Resources/DX12 is what the system was originally designed for. The hardware is already there, the software was not. Late 2014 and 2015- is going to see more usage of this. Its a real shame they rushed to get the system out the door to compete with Sony.....
cool demo :D
Well its better than the doom and gloom articles at least for both companies.
This was released last year explaining it. Its a very GOOD demo explaining its usage..people just tended to ignore it and dismiss it as NOT possible when it actually was. I will reiterate that the X1 was built around this and DX12 and was released/rushed 1 year early against the PS4.
Edit: some of these games will be out late fall and the rest will follow in 2015. The SDK's that utilize this will not be present in the launch titles we are seeing now.
...
Cool. Then I may pick one up for my bedroom TV.
So, then dont publish your game on the X1...If MS drop that clause...they will still whine. I'm sorry and I am sure I will get many disagrees, but I feel SOME indie devs have an entitlement attitude.
Pass from me since I'm already a prime member and own a console.
Its pretty cool in terms of those without consoles..It may sell rather well based on price.... But I see no mention of built in wireless card on the device...If its just Ethernet...cant see it as a huge seller.
good to know :D
LOL..nice April fools :D
Right guy for the Job!!!
You know..you make a lot of sense..here is Something I found ages ago on the breakdown of costs of selling/getting a game on consoles
...Steam has a great model..I wish they would adopt this on the Sony and MS platforms..Cutting out the cost to get it to the retailer sounds more viable than trading in digital purchases really.
I would rather save upfront then sell back later anyways since I Know they would rip off the consumer just like gamestop anyways.
Considering that I have ever only traded ONE game back to gamestop called CoD 3..1 week after purchase cause it was really bad, I never saw all the hub bub about DRM on consoles/PC's with Digital/retail Purchases. Who cares who gets what after its been traded..Once it traded, you no longer own it if I am not mistaken...
Gamestop has been ripping people off for years..If digital did indeed offer a decent trade in value..I cant stand Gamestop offering 50% or less of what y...
This is the reason why I never accept Beta invites. I just dont get when people flip out over testing something and finding out that there are issues...of course there will be issues thats why you are called BETA testers. I am glad they found workarounds for the issues people are having.
ahhh much better..now I see it
No, because if they did there would be sooo many people complaining MS abandoned the 360. The other plus is the install base...Hype surrounding the game for those that cant afford a next gen console are going to buy it on the 360. There is a ton of money to be made.
