I'd replace Lightning, Ezio and John Marston for Jak, Sly and Crash.

I think games like Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Uncharted 3, Resistance and BioShock treat water in different, almost incomparable, ways.

And as long as those 30fps are solid, it doesn't really hinder the game from being good. Most of the best games out there run @30fps.

Consoles are computer systems designed specifically for gaming.
PC gaming as we know it did not start until a decade after the first videogame console and other systems.
I agreed with Bioware when they took a jab at FF13 for not being much of an RPG. But at the same time it's quite a bit hypocritical of them to dilute the "RPG" in their games (see DA2).
ME2 was great but it lacked some things from ME1. And now ME3 will lack even more RPG elements in exchange for a more straightforward mainstream non-RPG-like approach.
It'll be like Gears in space with dialogue trees....or something.

Games with such content are not meant for children in the first place! These games have a rating system just like movies do.
If parents or whatever groups have an issue with little kids playing mature games(or movies) DON'T BUY THEM!
Nintendo didn't "invent" rumble or analog sticks.
In fact, it wasn't even the first console to use analog.
The N64 only had one analog stick somewhat uncomfortably in the middle of the controller.
Good thing Sony made those dual-analog controllers :)
