Am I the only one who has noticed that Don Reisinger never has any good news about anyone, ever? I swear, it's like he gets his jollies off writing about how much the Wii is all hype, and how the PS3 is already an abysmal failure, or in this case, the impending death of Blockbuster.
It's only been a short time, but I've already grown sick of this guy.
I'd be more surprised that anyone still plays this abomination.
You know, while PC gaming will always have its followers (even I play on PC from time to time), its reasons like price that will ensure it never overtakes the consoles. Most people simply don't have absurd amounts of cash to throw down on a video card that will just have to be replaced in one or two years.
With that said, this is a damn fine article that everyone who's had an interest in PC gaming should look at.
I've never been a fan of Kotaku, but I have to side with them on this one -- this is just ridiculous.
However he did forget number 5: There aren't any games worth ripping yet.
This isn't like BioShock, or Halo 3, where people were getting the game a week in advance. I don't think Activision will come down TOO hard for it, but I'm sure they're pissed.
When you have NeoGAF calling shenanigans, you know it's [a] bad gag.
For once I can't fault anyone for this rumor. The wording of the actual filing by THQ was pretty suspect. This was an easy mistake to make.
Simply glorious.
Piss, I'm out.
Mort the Chicken for the original PlayStation. That's the only guess I could come up with.
They have. Twice.
..."Glorious".
I'm surprised they didn't mention Jedi Power Battles. I remember when that game was released, it had people split -- some loved it (like myself) and others hated it with a passion reserved for those who insult one's mother.
I'm with Gambler on this one -- Microsoft just saw a potential marketing opportunity, and capitalized on it. Of course, considering just about every professional gaming league uses Halo in some capacity, it made the job of them getting this "monopoly" almost too easy.
I still think this is bogus. After all, Microsoft would be mad to give up their right to print money.
You know, there is fanboyism, then there is Sony Defense Force. These guys are worse than sad.
That one big franchise (Halo) doesn't see the light of day until September 25th -- expect to see sharp increases in Xbox 360 numbers when the September NPD figures are released.
They're the largest independent gaming blog out there. Give credit where credit's due.
...then you're part of the problem.
