...we're boned.
...you may want to try actually reading the review before you get all butthurt over an arbitrary number. I know this radical idea may blow your mind, but if you do that you just may see that he doesn't hate the game.
1.) HipHopGamer is a joke. A pathetic self-parody of a bad gaming blog who can't even be bothered to write their own content half the time.
2.) Pereira has been working at G4 since before the TechTV merger and, in fact, had been hosting shows on the network (including AOTS) before Olivia was ever hired.
Dude, how can he be a good blogger when he doesn't even write the majority of the crap on his site?
So can we finally stop pretending that Kotaku should be taken seriously?
Are video games being hit by the worldwide recession? Of course. They're a business -- all businesses (save for maybe Campbell's Soup and Winchester Rifles) are suffering.
But this is no '83. Not by a long shot.
...then again, I'd take a homeless man's word over Kotaku's...
I don't know. Crescente always seemed to come off as "Video games. SERIOUS BUSINESS!" to me.
The sad thing is that it wasn't even Bashcraft who wrote this. It was Crescente, the one who was personally offended that he fell for a CAG prank.
I haven't respected him since that incident.
It's about damn time.
Actually it was PC.
...who noticed that Bill Murray sounded like he was recording his lines from inside a soup can?
Either way, my hopes are sky high for this one.
I'd have a beer with him, that's for sure.
Eh, G4 had its dark time, but now it's starting to come into its own. I look at it and it kind of makes me think "YTMND TV". Damn programming is everywhere.
I hardly every say this, especially when it comes to game reviews, but if you are seriously having that much trouble with Fallout 3 then I'd be inclined to say that you simply don't know what the hell you're doing.
It doesn't shock me that EDGE, of all people, would give a game like Resistance a 6/10. They gave the same score to 'The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind' way back when.
Personally I blame a combination of fundamentally flawed 10-point review scales and simple bad taste on the part of the EDGE editors.
...you guys know that not everything David Jaffe says is "news", right?
When you consider their history, is it any great shock that GameSpot doesn't have any idea how their own damn review system works?
...would be an understatement of historic proportions.
And yet, every time he posts something it gets up to 800-900 degrees because y'all can't shut the hell up and let it die. It's an amazing thing that the content the N4G community deems to be utter garbage continues to have the most success while legitimate news stories get buried.
